This is my 4th Samsung T5 I've purchased, all in varied gig sizes; 500gb, 1TB, and 2TB. The first two where for my Blackmagic Pocket 4k and 6k cameras. The 3rd & 4th are for my Tesla's Sentry mode. Never had any issues with any of the drives. I highly recommend this brand and model of SSD.

I use this item for loading games onto my Xbox One X. I load into games like PUBG, COD, and Battlefield series and I am ALWAYS the first one in the lobby. It's great because I can get to any of the vehicles first in Battlefield, on PUBG I am first to pick up guns off the table. Game loading times are cut by 33%-50%

I carry a lot of media with me at all times, I find myself outgrowing flash drives so I decided to get a SSD. There was no cosmetic issues with the SSD and it works perfectly. I highly recommend this refurbished SSD, you save money and it works just the same.

It's small, light and I store it anywhere. I use this to back up my Samsung Note 10 plus as well as my Samsung Tab S6. The Samsung T5 500gb is more than enough for me to back up my movies, but I music and pictures. I would recommend this tiny device to anyone needing a small, but powerful external storage.

Bought this for my Xbox One X. Speeds up game loads like a champ and in open world games, there are no loading frames in the distance. Just make sure that you follow the xbox instructions when installing or you will brick the unit.

Initially, when I first plugged in my new refurb'd drive my computer didn't see it and I thought that I had a defective unit. After further online investigation I found that often with a new external drive you have to get into the computers disc management system and assign the new drive a letter designation, Example - D:, once this is accomplished the new drive functions perfectly every time I plug it in. It is a nice little SSD drive with lots of available space for mass storage. I am certainly not a computer ops nerd but was able to figure this out quite quickly. I recommend this drive to all that need extra storage space to back up your documents!

First off, this drive is deceptively small and well built. I purchased this to replace a SanDisk UltraFit that wrote itself to death handling dashcam footage. So far it has exceeded expectations, but we'll revise the situation after a year.

Was hesitant to buy because it was refurbished, but I’ve had it for over a year now and I have no complains. I use it exclusively on my Blackmagic Pocket 4k and it handles 4k recording without dropping frames. Highly recommend.

Great value and functionality on these Geek Squad Certified Refurbished SSDs. I've been buying various of these from Best Buy and they have been solid - looked new and save quite a bit when on sale.

Has been running flawless for 8 months. Make sure that if you are adding this solid state drive to a Nvidia Shield TV that the shield TV is on and running the latest firmware. If you don't, enjoy the headaches.

I use this as a bootable drive for my imac, which has a built in HDD (what a shame). This product drastically improves the booting of macos and loading of apps. This product is a must if you have a HDD only imac.

Always loved how samsung products looked. This is no different. Would be event better if it shipped with a soft case, but there are plenty to choose from.

I Plugged it into my "2007 Dimension E521 VISTA Desktop computer". It does NOT come up as a visible drive in Windows Vista Explorer and the Blue LED is "super DIM", such that I did not even think that it was on, even thought it shows as mounted in the "Safely Remove Hardware Icon of the taskbar" as "Safely remove mass storage drive". NEXT. . . I plugged into "2019 HP - ENVY x360 Laptop" and it also does NOT come up as a visible drive in the "Windows 10 Explorer" and the Blue LED is "NOT ON". . . HOWEVER. . . It does show up in "Disk Management" as "465.76 GB Unallocated" and there is a message that I must initialize this Drive before I can access it. I get the same result regardless of which cable or USB port (3.0, 3.1, or C 3.1) that I use with this Samsung External T5 SSD. Disk Management gave the option to initialize with GPT or MBR, but warned that the GPT is not recognized by all previous windows, and so I am trying to initialize with MBR. It would not initialize with MBR and so I decided to initialized with GPT and then once initialized with GPT I was able to convert it to MBR. I then formatted with NTFS with 8KB Allocation. This Drive came up as 465.76 GB Hexidecimal (i.e. . . 500 GB Decimal). It seems that I could NOT have fixed this Drive in anything earlier than Windows 10. I noticed that the Blue LED never turns on when running on the "2019 HP - ENVY x360 Laptop" but The Blue LED does Turn ON Dimly lit on my "2007 Dimension E521 VISTA" Desktop computer. * mjw notes: This Samsung T5 was supposed to come pre-formatted as exFAT, but it came as "465.76 GB Unallocated". I guess that has something to do with it being refurbished by Best Buy. I thought this drive would come with some software installed on it, but it seems that there never was any software on this drive because it came with "465.76 GB Unallocated". Now it seems functional as a 500GB External (NO Password protect) SSD Drive, and the blue indicator LED functions on both computers.

Refurbished means it's fixed and as good as new. I trusted that when I made this purchase. You can believe it if Geek Squad is on the case! Popped this mug into my iMac and been rolling fine ever since.
