Great system, poor remote quality

The sound is great and it's nice to be able to adjust the center channel for more clear spoken dialogue. My only issue is that the remote came essentially broken right out of the box. The volume button/toggle rarely works to turn volume up. It takes about 5 clicks for the button to respond once. Volume down works fine, and so do the rest of the buttons.

Sound quality and looks are great. After getting use to it and the remote all was well.
Thank you for purchasing the Samsung HW-B650 Soundbar with a dedicated center channel for crystal clear dialogue and wireless subwoofer for rich bass.
You can try adjusting audio performance to your liking by pressing the SOUND MODE button on your soundbar remote, and then selecting the desired sound effect by choosing SURROUND SOUND, BASS BOOST, GAME, ADAPATIVE, DTS VIRTUAL:X, STANDARD.
By pressing the TONE CONTROL button, you can adjust the volume of the treble or bass sound. Press the button to select TREBLE or BASS and then adjust the volume between -6~+6 by using the Up/Down buttons.
Additionally, using the WOOFER button on the remote, you can adjust the subwoofer’s volume between -6 to +6 by toggling the button up or down. To set the subwoofer volume level to 0, press the button down.

Good Sound -- If and When It Works

I have been looking for a reasonably priced, decent-sounding 3.1ch soundbar with subwoofer combination for a while. When I heard this in the store, I thought I had found my wish. NO SUCH LUCK. From the day this was installed, the remote control wouldn't work, I couldn't get it to have a full sound, and my main reason for having a 3.1ch system -- to be able to emphasize voice over background -- didn't function at all. Considering all the frustrations, you should not be surprised to read that I exchanged it for a soundbar from the company that manufactured my TV. Would I recommend this soundbar? Not if you have a Sony TV.

Subwoofer speaker

Sounds not loud as i thought it would be. Speaker went out after 2 months of use and we didn't use it everyday
We appreciate you taking a few moments to review the Samsung HW-B650 Soundbar.
I am sorry to hear that the troubleshooting steps you have tried did not resolve the issue. In addition to checking the connections of the soundbar, please make sure your soundbar is using the latest firmware Version. Updating the firmware on your soundbar gives you all the benefits of the latest improvements. You can update your firmware by using a USB device.
You may also want to initialize your soundbar by pressing the - and + (volume) buttons on the side of the soundbar at the same time for at least 5 seconds. The light indicator on the front of the soundbar will blink 4 times and the soundbar will be reset. Please know, this will reset all settings on the soundbar back to default; any sound adjustments will need to be performed again.
Should you continue to experience audio dropouts, and are connected wirelessly, please use the included cable to connect the soundbar to the TV. Using a wired connection instead of wireless often eliminates the issue entirely and improves the user experience.
