Never got mine. Never got a refund because BestBuy sucks. I have reported to my credit card and they are disputing it. You call and are on hold forever then you here someone answer but apparently because they don’t know how use it.

Soundbar itself works but honestly sounds about as good as a dollar store speaker set. Subwoofer did not work at all. No sound, vibration, nothing. I tried everything possible to get it to work but despite being connected to the sound bar the subwoofer never made any noise whatsoever.

I am sorry that you have experienced issues with your subwoofer, please know that we are here to help.
The first thing to check would be is if you have accidentally turned your subwoofer all the way down to -12. If this is not the case then I would attempt to do a hard reset on your soundbar.
With your Soundbar ON, press and hold the - & + (VOLUME UP/DOWN) buttons for roughly 5 seconds. You will then see INIT scroll across the LED display. Your soundbar will be reset to factory settings.
I would also download the latest firmware, as this will give you the most recent improvements made to the software. Follow this link, https://www.samsung.com/us/support/downloads/ and then type in your model number to follow the updating instructions.

Sound bar is at Samsung in New Jersey now because apparently there's a problem with it. Someone came out for the TV and said the TV was OK but the sound bar is having issues.

Worked great for a day, then when turned on, would display a ‘PRT’ error and power itself off. This is apparently a protection mode signaling there is a hardware issue. I saw many people describing the same issue on multiple forums. All you can do is send it to Samsung for repair, or return it to where you purchased it. It’s sad, because I expected more from Samsung.

With the sale price this is a good buy and the unit is worth what I paid for it. It is not as good as the sound system I have with my DVD player.

Subwoofer did not work. Despite the blue light showing connected to the soundbar via bluetooth, no sound was coming out of the subwoofer. Spent most of one day chatting with Best Buy support and Samsung, but issue could not be resolved.

This review will be unfair for the product. The reason for the low review is based on my experience at the best buy in east orange california. They were rude unprofessional and will no longer be getting any of my future business. It all started with the cashier then moved on to the supervisor at the time. bought this soundbar last week and it is already broken. sound cutting in and out constantly. looked up the problem on bestbuy reviews and samsung website and you have to download software update via usb and plug in usb into the soundbar. not trying to do all that when I paid 300+ for this soundbar. I would avoid this at all costs. imagine payin 300+ for a soundbar and there is already a problem with it 1 week in. unbelievable.

You can optimize your audio performance to your liking by pressing the SOUND MODE button on your soundbar remote, and then selecting the desired sound effect by choosing SURROUND SOUND, BASS BOOST, GAME, ADAPTIVE, DTS VIRTUAL:X, STANDARD.
By pressing the TONE CONTROL button, you can adjust the volume of the treble or bass sound. Press the button to select TREBLE or BASS and then adjust the volume between -6~+6 by using the Up/Down buttons.
Press and hold the SOUND CONTROL button for about 5 seconds to adjust the sound for each frequency band. 150Hz, 300Hz, 600Hz, 1.2kHz, 2.5kHz, 5kHz, and 10kHz are selectable using the Left/Right buttons and each can be adjusted to a setting between -6 to +6 using the Up/Down buttons. (Make sure the Sound mode is set to “STANDARD”.
Additionally, using the WOOFER button on the remote, you can adjust the subwoofer’s volume between -6 to +6 by toggling the button up or down. To set the subwoofer volume level to 0, press the button down.

This sound bar is awful!! Not user friendly and the sound is horrible. I bought it on the recommendation from the sales person. None of the sounds bars on display were hooked up to be able to hear the sound. Do not purchase.

I'm sorry to hear that your experience with the new HW-B650 Soundbar hasn't lived up to the recommendation given to you.
There are a few settings you can change to improve your overall audio experience.
By pressing the SOUND CONTROL button (which looks like a gear), you can set the audio function. The desired settings can be adjusted using the Up/Down buttons.
AUDIO SYNC - NIGHT MODE ON/OFF - VOICE ENHANCE ON/OFF
AUDIO SYNC
If the video on the TV and audio from the Soundbar are not synchronized, press the (Sound Control) button to select AUDIO SYNC and then set the audio delay between 0~300 milliseconds by using the Up/Down buttons. (Not available in “USB” or “BT” mode.)
NIGHT MODE ON/OFF
This mode is optimized for nighttime viewing with the settings adjusted to bring the volume down but keep the dialog clear.
VOICE ENHANCE ON/OFF
This mode is makes it easier to hear spoken dialog in movies and TV.
The NIGHT MODE, and VOICE ENHANCE audio function can be turned ON/OFF by
using the Up/Down buttons.
