Stunning surround sound, deep bass, and flawless Dolby Atmos. Best-in-class home theater!

Alittle pricey but great sound. Ive had atleast 8 different surround systems in the past this one tops them all. I hear things new sounds that you think are right next to you. Bass is very deep if turned up.

This was a huge upgrade from our previous soundbar and did not disappoint. Big, clear sounds, with true surround feels. Even the background sounds from film comes through that weren’t noticed before making you feel you are apart of the screen. Coming from a customized home theater system with a TRUE dolby atmos set up(speakers in the ceiling) it was very hard because of my housing situation to transition to a soundbar system and to be trully satisfied. I tried all the major manufacturers systems and returned them for one reason or another. The Samsung q990D was the last one. Best Buy has it on sale now for 1500 dollars. What a bargain for what you get! Download the smart things app and in no time you’re ready to go. Pairing of the sub and rear speakers are seamless. The app rovides plenty of customization. Movies sound cinematic and music sounds great. For gamers it has 2 hdmi 2.1 inputs that passes 4k@120. I am glad i saved the best for last

I loventhe sound, whether it is for movies or shows, you feel like a movie theater. Whether you play music, you feel enveloped in the sound and in the middle of it all like you are at the concert. Yhe sound is so crisp and clear, with so much bass as well. A perfect balance of eveeything. Worth it.

Sounds great and it’s super easy to set up. It could stand to have a little bit more bass, but the sound quality is superb

This sound system is a beast. I pretty much don’t turn it up more that 25% and it is already loud and immersive. Anything higher than that is essentially like being in a movie theater. I feel bad for my neighbors but no regrets on this purchase!

I’ve compared this to the sonos ark ultra I have with the sonos 300 rears and sub 4 , I can honestly say this Samsung one I might like better , for songs I liked if for sure , for movies you can’t go wrong with the Samsung , deep base , very loud , rears are loud enough. And I got the Samsung for 900$ the sonos was 3k .

Amazing sound. Very easy to set up. My only complaint is adjusting settings you must use your smartphone app. Impossible to see settings on the soundbar unless you’re right in front of it. They should have made it so you get a menu on screen

Purchased this instead of another soundbar. Best purchase as it works with existing Samsung TV seamlessly. Previous soundbar required TV volume to be set to zero and we had two remotes. Now everything works with 1 remote and there is no echo issues

I tried the bose top of the line home theater system back to back with this one, and Samsung blows them away. For less money you get a lot better sound, volume, and an app that works a lot better.

The Samsung HW-Q990D Soundbar was my first soundbar in years and well worth the purchase when compared to its competitors. Setting up the four pieces (soundbar, amp, two rear speakers) was a breeze, and all were well-packaged and protected for shipping/transport. Would highly recommend downloading the SmartThings app to finalize set-up and to use as a second remote. The on-device display is usable, but leaves a lot to be desired. Most settings can be customized through the remote, but the app simplifies the process. Features I’ve found on the app, but not the remote include Night Mode (Private Rear Sound), Dialogue/Voice Enhancement, and Base Boost. I’ve been satisfied by the well-rounded performance, and watching movies and playing games has been a joy. If you’re in the market for an improved sound system at an affordable price, look no further than the Q990D.

I chose this Atmos Soundbar over others so I could pair it with my Samsung TV to use it with Q-Symphony. With that enabled, you're getting closer to 13.1.4 sound, with three front channels on each side - front left upper (TV speaker), front left lower (soundbar front firing), and front left outside (soundbar side firing) - all with the front left upfiring speaker as well. It sounds super immersive and phenomenal.

This system punches above its weight and delivers phenomenal sound and clarity. I’ve had it for a year and continue to smile when I get it going for a movie or game. Even more impressive is how it handles low volumes, with clear voices and detail. If your means allow, I’d get it and wouldn’t look back.

I can't be happier about this purchase. Subpurb installation by Geek Squad and the product itself is excellent. Clear and crisp sound and the entire basement is covered with sound when the family watches movies

The setup is straightforward plug in and you're ready to go and the sound is amazing on any movie and show especially Top Gun and any Transformer movie I guarantee it but wait there's more; if you download the SmartThings app you can customize your sounds even more. Money well spent in my opinion.

This system has reached my expectations on sound !!!!!! I was looking for a sound system that brings the sound to and this system did for me. I would recommend this system to everyone.
