So far beyond impressed. I have a tall and narrow dresser with a 42 inch tv. There aren't many if any good options especially with a subwoofer that will fit properly. Samsung hit a homerun here. It's a great width and equally important is the lower profile of the height as most would block the tv screen at a distance laying in bed for example. The sound quality is excellent. Much more bass and sound options than I expected. I would recommend reading the manual. I tried to adjust the sound settings and it was frustrating. After doing what nobody does and taking the 2 minutes to read the 1 page manual I realized the controls were very simple and were well thought out. Lesson learned on my part. There are several sound stage settings and I haven't had any issues connecting to HDMI/Arc or bluetooth. If you have a smaller tv, want to use in a bedroom or anywhere else with limited space this is the one to buy. No need to shop around because the options are slim to none. Sometimes it makes you wonder why it took so long for somebody to make these without all the sacrifices. Well done Samsung.

Included- Soundbar, subwoofer, remote control, 2x power cords, AC/DC adapter, HDMI to micro HDMI cable, wall mount guide and wall mount kit The assembly and installation were relatively smooth. The biggest hiccup I ran into was I needed a new power strip with a long enough cord. Once I figured that out, connecting the cables from the soundbar to the TV and to my streaming device was simple. The sub wirelessly connects to the soundbar via bluetooth so you only have to connect it to power source. Initially, I couldn't get the TV sound to come out of the soundbar even though I had the settings set to use the HDMI arc source, but I finally realized the source was actually bluetooth and then it worked great! When I power on the TV, the soundbar asks if I want the to soundbar connect as previously done. So once I "OK" it, what's even better then, is my Apple TV remote will connect to the soundbar too and then I don't have to monkey with multiple remotes. The volume button on the remote controls the volume button for the soundbar. There is an app called SmartThings, that lets you control and listen to music or podcasts from your phone on the Samsung soundbar. There is an option to change the mode of sound to fit your needs- Standard, Surround, Game, Adaptive and DTS Virtual. There is also an equalizer with slides to adjust the base and treble up or down. In the advanced settings there is voice enhancement and night mode. I've owned multiple soundbars but this is my first slim. I really like the physical size of it because it is not big and bulky. I don't have a lot of room for it since it's sitting on top of my dresser with my TV so it fits well. It does come with a wall mount kit and guide if you want to anchor it to the wall instead. I do not think this soundbar is superior to other soundbars on the market, but for the size and needs I have it's great! I am very happy with it for the style and price. The sound quality of the Samsung Slim is far better than the TV sound. It's clearer and crisper and fuller all around. I don't like to ever go without one because it far enhances your viewing and listening experience.

I was looking for a sound upgrade for my television, I needed something small and unobtrusive. I have a larger surround sound system for movie nights but I wanted more than the TV’s little built in speakers could offer for everyday viewing. I thought this would fit the bill the best. The main speaker is small in size, measuring just 35” wide x 1 5/8” deep x 1 1/2” tall and can be either wall mounted (hardware included)or placed on a shelf or console. It packs six speakers, 90 watts of power, and a dedicated center channel to bring out the dialogue in a slim profile. The subwoofer is slim as well, at only 8” wide x 12” deep x 13 3/4” tall but with 160 watts in a ported enclosure it really punches up the bottom end. And since it connects wirelessly to the main speaker it can fit about anywhere in the room. I connected the sound bar to my television via Bluetooth which was an easy process, the connection has been rock solid with no issues. It turns on and off with the TV so I don’t really need to keep the sound bar remote at hand. I don’t have a Samsung TV but my Sony TV remote controls the volume just fine. I tried connecting via the included HDMI cable to my TV’s HDMI ARC port but the volume output of the speaker was very low and would not adjust no matter what I tried so I switched back over to using the Bluetooth connection. I prefer using it in surround mode, I think that brings out the dialogue the best. Sometimes I think the background music in a show is too loud and drowns out the audio. One thing I found lacking- there is a Simple User Guide included in the box with instructions to view the user manual at Samsung’s website but if you go there the only download link I found is this same Simple User Guide. There’s zero instructions on what the functions of the remote control do. You can just mess with it and figure it out but it seemed like an odd omission? I’d take off half a star for that if I could. The speaker sounds great, does exactly what I need, and works seamlessly even with my other brand television so I definitely love it.

Just bought this soundbar new less than a month ago (Jan2026), and I love the sound it provides. I chose it for the super slim profile to match my Samsung Frame TV. But I was disappointed to discover (after my return window expired, of course) that the ONLY compatible rear speaker set has been DISCONTINUED, and isn't available anywhere. So if you're thinking you might want to expand this soundbar with the recommended SWA-9200S rear speaker set, forget it. And the newer Samsung rear speaker sets (like the 9250S) are NOT compatible with the S700D soundbar - despite being shown as "Related Items" on the product page for this soundbar. Again, I love the look and sound of the bar and subwoofer, just annoyed that Samsung doesn't make ANY compatible rear speakers for it.

Overall a good sound. Kind of hard to "tune" the subwoofer. Hard to know if the subwoofer is activated. The soundbar itself is ergonomically nice. Thin, small footprint.

The sound is good, but the connectivity has been intermittent. We have a Samsung Frame TV, and you would expect the Samsung soundbar to be plug-and-play. It took a little while messing around with settings to get the QSymphony to work. Even then, the soundbar keeps switching between WiFi and the HDMI connection. No explanation why, but it is annoying because the soundbar will announce "Wireless disconnected" in the middle of the show you're watching. All-in-all, we are happy with the sound and quality of the soundbar, and the compact size is perfect for our small living room. I would recommend in hopes that Samsung will eventually come up with a firmware update to correct the connectivity issues.

The unit is excellent. The set up was painless, including Q Symphony. Everything was automatic once it was plugged in. It just started working with everything set correctly. The sound quality is excellent and the addition to the room by having the sound bar is amazing. Cannot say enough about this unit and how well it works.

Super easy setup, small footprint and reasonable price...but the best part is the sound! Sounds incredible and is such an improvement over the TV speakers. Would definitely recommend!!!

This soundbar and subwoofer came at a great price because I bundled it with the Samsun 65" S84 OLED TV. I tested the SONOS (known for best sound quality), I tested the BOSE sound system and a few others. All of them were very expensive and bulky. I found this mini sound bar and subwoofer combo in a separate area near the TV's. Don't let the size fool you, this sound bar is exceptional! The sound is extremely clear, can get very loud and still sounds clear, the subwoofer has deep bass, and this automatically syncs with your TV. You can adjust through 5 different sound settings and adjust the bass to your desire. I paired this with the 65" Samsung OLED S84 and the total cost was less than the cost of the same sized LG OLED 65". Coming from a picky person when it comes to great tech at the right price, I definitely do not have buyers guilt. As long as the TV last more than 5 years unlike the LG products, I'll be happy.

It works! Easy set up. Almost intuitive so I had to look at the instructions for a couple of hints. Connected to my Samsung smart TV and the symphony coordination feature worked almost immediately. Sound is good! Actually very good! I can now hear the higher frequencies much more easily.

This sound bar is small but packs amazing sound quality! The addition of the sub really gives you that deep movie theater sound and helps fill up our entire living room atmosphere. We connected it to our Samsung tv without any issues and over the last several months have really enjoyed the experience it’s brought to our home entertainment.

I didnt know that I really wanted or needed this but then I got a demonstration in store and I thought fine why not? I had a little bit of a hard time connecting the subwoofer to the soundbar but I figured it out once I actually read the instructions and wow does this thing make a difference. I have not had to raise the volume above a level 16 and I feel like the dialogue is super clear and the loud bangs are loud but not heart attack inducing.

Bought this as an open box item for around $250. So worth it around that price. Sounds great. Love the wireless Sub. At $400 I'd look at something better but if you can get this below $300 it's pretty solid.

Recently purchased a new Samsung TV already had a Bose sound system debated whether to replace it with a new one. Took a chance on this system and glad I did ! To me it sounds as good or better than my previous system. Would highly recommend! Also was extremely simple to connect.
