I had to spend over an hour with a tech person to get the printer to work with windows 10. I still can't get it to work with other computers on our network.

The worst printer...

This is the worst printer I have ever seen.
1. Jam paper happens everyday.
2. Double or more paper come out almost every print.
3. You should put less than 10 pages inside or above 2 gonna happen.
I will definitely return it as it gave me so much trouble.
Don't buy it!

Took 3 sessions with HP support to make wireless work on my Win10 home network. The setup disc provided was a failure. Discovered in the 3rd go round with tech support that the printer needed a firmware update which appears to have resolved the problem.

Absolute worst printer I've owned. Brand new and paper keeps getting stuck. Impossible to print out even a simple document . And trying to set up wifi is like reading ancient Greek. Get ready to tear your hair out with this item.

This piece of junk would only take about twenty sheets of paper, and when printing, would crumple the printed sheet. Needless to say, I returned it.

I have owned this Samsung M2835DW printer three months. I use it networked wirelessly with Windows 10. This is not a bad printer. It works alright. But it is not great printer either. I think "average" is appropriate. HP support and the printer have some significant flaws. But not deal breakers.
(HP recently purchased Samsung's printer business. Although the printer is still marketed with the Samsung name the printer is now supported by HP.)
- The printer prints dark. Excellent for sharp text. But produces very dark images. Photos are too dark.
- The driver needs updating. It works OK with standard office software like MS Word. But the driver fails to run fully with some standard Windows 10 apps, such as Mail and Photos. With some apps the driver interface does not open for preview and settings adjustment. The print output is default only.
- Some of the printer features are silly and confusing, such as the Eco button on the device.
- The published user's guide is unclear and out of date. Some printer software referenced is not available on HP's website.
- HP's support is lacking. Samsung products seem like a step sister on the support site. The support resources are very limited.
- Networking administration is via a web page based GUI. Which is the best method. The GUI is not made very clear in the User's Guide. The networking GUI is called "SyncThru Web Service."
- The printer does not have a reset button. If the networking settings or password are forgotten the reset procedure is complicated. The printer must be connected via USB, software installed on the PC, then reset deep within the software settings. This is also unclear in the User's Guide.
- There are other minor flaws, such as a poorly designed paper tray. The included power and USB cords are extremely short.
- I have not had any wireless networking issues. Other reviews mention WiFi problems. But I doubt the printer is at fault.
Overall the printer seems to chug along. Text is sharp. Photos are poor. The driver needs updating. Tech support is poor. The model was released five years ago. Therefore I doubt HP will produce more updates to the documentation or driver. I am disappointed with the product and HP. Not up to my expectations. But I have had bad experiences with most printers. This one does not seem much worse than usual. Printers and support generally are disappointments.

Works great...when it prints

This is a great little printer. . . when it actually prints. The wireless function will connect to all of the systems in the house, including our smartphones. It prints quickly and has good quality. Unfortunately, we have serious issues with it staying online. We have had to reinstall the drivers several times on our laptop computers, and for quite some time, the only devices it actually worked wirelessly from were the smartphones. We keep a USB cord handy for whenever we need to print from our laptops, and regardless of whether we are printing wirelessly or through the USB we generally have to disconnect and reconnect the power to the printer in order to bring the unit online to print our documents.

The print quality of M2835DW is amazing. I first bought a Brother Brother HL2350DW. While neither had any connectivity issues, the brother had horrible print quality in comparison. I returned the Brother and kept the Samsung. The M2835DW has remarkable sharp and crisp print quality both while printing text and pictures.

samsung support was useless, after 2 hours trying to diagnose the problem concluding that only a mac or windows pc could connect the printer to my network. When i told verizon the ip address per the printer they said it was incorrect due to printer error and recommended returning the printer.
