Not compatible with all flagship devices.

Use the Chromecast if you need to connect your devices to the TV. Try to avoid MHL if possible, as battery life degrades when you use MHL.

I tried out this product and the rocket fish version at best buy prior to my purchase. Both will do the job just fine. However, in order to make the rocket fish work you have to add the small adapter that it comes with and be connected to a power source. Too many connection points to have a failure. The Samsung hdmi adapter does not require a power source which makes it more mobile. I enjoy using this product. It'funny to me because I was upset having to spend more money to enjoy my phone's abilities. Now I just enjoy using it to watch movies, read emails, or do a video conference call on the TV screen or projector. If you can mirror your phone to your TV then there is no need to buy this item. This item is used for those who don't have that capability or want to use it on other video sources.

Handy device to own

Best MHL for the money!

To my surprise, it even performed well on my non Samsung devices. I recommend it to anyone who is looking for for an MHL adapter that can perform!
