Unfortunately, it's dependant on what you plug into it to display the very best final product. That's where I personally errored. I tried to "make do" with a cable with a bent contact. Kept disconnecting...ie: falling out of this adapter! I learned. Got a new cable to plug into this adapter and no more problems! Amazing! Like I said, self inflicted dumbness.

There is a higher resolution version of this adapter, but it wasn't reliable with outputting video. No issues with this one,.

samsung let me down.
