You will need a HDMI cable and a charger in addition to the device you are connecting. I was wanting something small to carry when traveling. I use my chrome cast instead of keeping up with the multiple cords and finding a power source to connect everything. I still have mine in the package .

High hopes

I was so disappointed, though, that it did not fit my phone (Samsung). It's a real bummer that I had to return it. I guess I would try it out on the device before buying it.
