Software is too basic

I was forced to replace my old (and awesome) Samsung fax/printer due to incompatibility with my new Vista operating system. Bought this one without researching based on previous experience with several quality Samsung printers. However, the included Samsung software that controls the fax and scanning from a PC is very basic. Also, the only function that works from a PC via a network connection is printing; the fax and scan functions only work via a USB connection (or standalone faxing with no PC). I subsequently found another brand of MFC that allows fax and scanning over a network connection and gets top ratings so will be putting this one up for auction. Otherwise, I was satisfied with all the features except the inability to control the brightness on black and white scans (like my previous Samsung allowed).

I've had this for 2 months and am very pleased with it. It's excellent for any home or office use. Great quality, features, ease of use, etc. make this AIO very preferable. All in all, very pleased with it.
