So far it's ok but not great.

This Smartthings sensor works as expected so far, but the battery (CR2450) life is a concern. I tried it first inside my freezer and remarkably it communicated successfully with the Smartthings hub located on the other side of my home just fine. The battery reading dropped over a period of 36 hours from 100% to 5%. Maybe it was just a bad battery, or maybe the cold temp (approximately 7 degrees) affects the battery life. I replaced the battery and it seems to be lasting a bit longer at room temperature, but still declining faster than I would expect. I've seen other folks comment about this issue after a few Google queries so I'm not alone. Otherwise the sensor works as expected with good response to vibration, temperature, and open/close detection.

Uses a unique battery to mind that. Easy install so long as the door/window molding is flat, otherwise some M3 double stick foam to raise the sensor is helpful. Also provides vibration and temperature sensor

I purchased this sensor because it can detect temperature, vibration and it detects if a door, window, drawer or whatever you use it for is opened. Also very important that it is compatible with my hub. Works perfectly.

I use these on a garage door, regular doors, and windows. Has long battery life, open/close, vibration, and temperature. Each of these functions can be used to trigger routines or scenes. Price and utility are great.

Great sensor for more than just open/closed doors

I have two of these, one on the garage door and one inside the refrigerator. The garage door sensor is to let us know if we've left the garage door up. It uses the x-y axis sensor as opposed to the open/closed sensor. Great when we're 2-3 miles from home trying to remember if we closed the door! The refrigerator sensor is not used as a door sensor either. It sits on a shelf and sends a text message whenever the temperature goes over 40 degrees. This does wear down the battery a little faster than normal, but that's a small price to pay compared to food spoilage. Simple straightforward integration with Smartthings hub and Google Home.

I use this with a SmartThings hub, and they've worked with no issue. Easy to install. Replacing the batteries is a little tricky, requires some prying. These are a great value.

I have several of these in the previous version. They're rock solid, dependable, and easy to use. Battery is not a common size and can become quite expensive to replace often. I use these on all exterior doors and garage doors. Great product!

I originally picked up 2 of these for the garage doors to let my wife and I know if we left either open before we went to bed. The downside originally was that I set them up in the new app, and then had to go into the old classic ST app and change it to work as a garage sensor. Despite not being a great user experience it's been great knowing the status so much that I went out and quickly bought two more. I now am able to turn on my basement lights with the help of these. Better yet, these sensors also can tell me the temperature and vibration so much that I'm planning on using more of them throughout the house for other projects.

    Samsung Devices Compatible?

Even Samsung devices are almost impossible to connect, and then they don't stay connected. Great, new technology for having a smart home. There are few competitive systems. The hub was easy to set up. Even the Samsung SmartThings devices where almost impossible to connect to the hub. I almost packaged the entire thing up and returned it, had I not spent so much time and money trying to get it to work. When everything worked, it's great. As things get off-line, it's not worth the work to get the system back in working order. I'm not convinced that other manufacturer systems are better. Checked 'would recommend' because there wasn't a 'might' option.

It's a great contact sensor. It is easy to mount and set up. I whis the batteries lasted a little longer but being wireless and this small the convenience and inconsistency out ways the battery life.

connected with little problem to Samsung hub. Nice that Samsung hub gives the button 3 options- press, double press , hold. So you can use it for 3 different things. Did lose contact once
