I love these sensors. They’re super versatile and can be used for many things. I have one set up on the door to a hall closet that I converted to a media closet that turns on the light upon opening. It also keeps track of the temp, and I have an automation set to turn on a vent fan to keep the temperature level.

This sensor is unbelievable. At $19 it is a contact sensor and a temperature sensor. What is not heavily advertised is that it also has a built in horizontal/vertical sensor! All for $19!!! I use it on my garage door to trigger functions and alerts when the garage door is open and closed.

This was very easy to setup and install. I was afraid that it won't work because of the way my door is made. There is a big gap on the sensor due to a curve on the door frame, but it does work.
The tape is very strong, once it is taped to the door, I cannot get it off without some of the paint coming off.

We’ve installed this on our back door. We have small kids and a pool in our back yard. We have this sensor paired with our SmartThings hub and echo. We’ve programmed the sensor with our echo. Once the door is open our echos—upstairs and downstairs—tells us when the door is open. This is envaluable to us for such a small price tag

I'm using this as a door switch on a bedroom and have it trigger a light to come on to a specified brightness between certain hours of the night. It's a nice item to use as the first step in an automated process. The fact that it also has a thermometer built in is a nice bonus.

I have it on the front door and sends me a message Everytime someone opens and closes it as well as turns on lights upon entry. Haven't had one issue with it. Just stick it on your door and door frame and connect it and you're done.

This is a multipurpose sensor which does more than just open-close status. It also senses temperature, device x-y-z 3D orientation and vibration. I can also see the battery status of the device. Works wonderfully with my SmartThings app. The price is awesome.

The best sensor in my setup. I have the multi sensor on the exterior door. I know the temperature, and it's setup for home security. I know when the door opens. It turns on an entrance light at night (6pm to 6am), for 2 minutes when the door opens. Very versatile, and well worth the money.

Pricy but it looks good and works well. It is a sensor that tells you if something is closed or open...plus what the temperature is.
If that is what you want...but it. If you are looking for something else spend your money elsewhere...like on Hue products.

For the price this a great little sensor that can be a contact switch, temperature sensor, or the most recent one I bought talks about vibration. This most recent one I use to keep track on the temperature in the refrigerator.

These sensors are great for monitoring when doors are opened or closed. So far, they have lasted a long time. Battery needs to be changed once a year. Early on, sensor lost WiFi connection with hub occasionally, but problem seems to have been fixed by recent Samsung software update.

Works well but if used in a cooler environment, like a refrigerator to monitor temperature, the battery life significantly decreases. This is expected as cold temps affect battery life. I wish they had an AAA or AA version so I wouldn't have to replace batteries all the time when monitoring the fridge temperature.

I'm currently using the sensor with my SmartThings V3 hub to detect vibrations from my washer and dryer. The old sensor did not have the capabilities to detect the movement of my devices but this version of the device functions much better and works as described.

does what it needs to do, but I am a bit disappointed in the size of these vs some of its competitors. I also found that some of these have been splitting away from the door while trying to change the batteries.

I think this is the best-priced sensor on the market. It can tell if someone opens the door or knocks on the door. I would recommend the Samsung Smartthings hub plus these sensors to anyone. Compared to other sensors this is the best value.

The adhesive on these are really really good. The sensor itself works great as well. No complaints so far.
Only bad thing would be changing the batteries since the adhesive is so strange, that is going to be a pain.
