Been using these for a month or so and they seem to be pretty responsive. They let you know your temperature of the area around the door or wherever you stick them. Detects knocks and doors opening which was my main want.

Inexpensive for the amount of functiinality. If you're setting up a SmartThings network this thing is great as a garage door tilt sensor.

Smartthings sensor pairs easily and is easily configured to meet many different needs. Has temp gauge and battery meter through Smartthings app.

Sensor works great. I have it in my front door and whenever someone comes in my smart plug turn on the lamp. I only program it at night.

Great sensor, it didn't work at first with my Wink system but after I re-paired it has been working great, I get an alert every time the door opens or closes

Easy to install and connect. I am able to turn a light on that is connected with a smart plug in the evenings when the sensor is in the open position.

Two VERY important things to consider before buying ANY Samsung smartthings devices: 1) if you want to arm the system you have no choice but to open the new app (classic has been recently discontinued) and hit arm. If you don't buy a keypad or other optional device or the ADT service there's no other option. You can not setup a daily arm schedule, no detecting if your location is away and then it and automatically. Samsung got money hungry and is forcing everyone down this path. 2) Very important, if your device disconnects, for whatever reason, it will not notify you! Let me repeat, if you don't check your device health (by opening the app) every night before you go to bed and make sure everything is connected, you will never notice a sensor that's out. Why is this important? Water sensor under your washer goes out and you don't notice? Kind of important to know your sensors connectivity and health of there's issues. I have personally spent over a dozen hours of my time with customer service to find out they are worthless (I even sent them detailed reports and screenshots to try and help them chase down bugs). Save yourself the hassle, go with someone else. I've had this system for over an year now and it's never worked right.

I have several of these and they come in very handy. Not only do they detect open and close, but are very sensitive to detecting vibration and report temperature to boot. Battery life has been very good and the design makes mounting fairly flexible while still allowing access to change the battery. Requires a hub and SmartThings, so don't buy if looking for a stand-alone wifi solution. Otherwise, definitely a recommendation!

This sensor can read temps, open close, it can even be used as a sensor on a garage door to tell if it’s open or closed. I need a few more of these

I bought these to send me notifications to remind me to close windows when it is about to rain when I set it up through the SmartThings app. Does a great job

This is so easy to set up, there’s no reason to pay a monthly commitment to monitor your stuff if you can do it yourself. No need to pay for installation because it’s so simple, love this product.

purchased this sensor just for the purpose of trying one, works well with smart things app, does what it is supposed to do just having to replace battery now.

I bought two of these to monitor door openings. They were easy to pair with the hub and easy to install. I have not had any problems so far.

This thing is handy, I used it as a sensor to tell me if my garage is open or closed, and as a side effect of having it there I can see what the temperature is. I think this could be used for a lot of different purposes. Only problem is that it loses its connection with the hub pretty often, and I have to physically take the battery out and put it back in to fix it.

It is a good add-on, If you have a Smartthings environment. Much better than the first generation sensors - improved range and battery.

these things do it all they tell you the temperature they tell you if the door is opened or closed they'll tell you if you're being robbed

Adds a piece of mind with out setup off alarm on doors so I don’t have to worry about sleep walker or if the kids left the door open

Great black friday price. I am using it for my garage door position open or closed. Samsung products work very well.
