Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The Samsung Sound Tower is genuinely a great speaker with impressive volume and awesome lighting effects. The build feels solid, the sound is crisp, and it easily fills a room or backyard. If you’re looking for a fun, powerful party speaker, it definitely gets the job done. That said, I ultimately decided to return it and go with the JBL 720 instead. For about $200 more, the JBL’s sound—especially the bass—was noticeably superior. The JBLs are also currently marked down by about $300, so spending a little extra for the upgrade just made sense. My only real complaint about the Sound Tower was the app. It never seemed to connect properly and was constantly “searching” for the speaker, which got frustrating. Aside from that, the speaker itself was awesome and I’d still recommend it to anyone who doesn’t need the deeper bass or the app features.
