Smart and powerful, able to navigate around the house with ease. The product also can sense the kind of floor and increases its vacuum suction on rags/ carpets. However, product is not thin enough to go under your couch. It also not able to differentiate thin legs of furnitures and bumps into them. But otherwise Gets the task done with flying colors.

Started out decent....never could get the app on my iPhone to work properly with this Samsung device. The remote, however was fine. Several times, it died in odd, inconvenient places, like under the king size bed. Most times, though, it would go to Home, regarge, and finish the job. However, the 6th time it died in the middle of the job without me knowing where it was, I returned it. I miss it. Hopefully, improvements will be made.

The POWERbot is a win! And this is coming from someone who's sceptical of the cleaning power of robot vacuums. I started Mr. BOT off slow...but he knocked out 4 bedrooms and the hallway with ease. When the bot finishes a room it heads back to the charger on it's own to charge up for the next job. IQ on incredible! I have hardwood floors throughout the house and POWERbot easily transitioned to rugs as needed. However, it took several passes over one of my rugs with a thicker pile but eventually it was clean. And with 3 small pets, I need my floors clean! Like CLEAN, CLEAN! If you want a set-it and forget it robot vacuum, this one is definitely it! You can set to start from home, while you're at work and it will map out a room or your condo while you're away. Now it's time for the rest of the house. Great job, Samsung! Now all my friends are ordering ones too!

I have only had this for about a week and so far I'm impressed. This is my first robot vaccum. I decided on the powerbot because of the features and it's ability to navigate while cleaning. It connected well with my smartthings and I had no issues adding it to Alexa. I have a small dog that sheds a lot so cleaning was a constant struggle. This vaccum has already saved me tons of time in the short time I have owned it. The dust bin is a good size for me and it's easy to clean and maintain. Set up was cake and I have had no issues with it not being able to return to the charger. The battery lasts about an hour before it has to return for a charge. I keep my home fairly clutter free so I haven't had any issues with it getting stuck where I would have to help it along. It has been able to navigate out of all situations. I have laminate flooring with a few low pile area rugs. No issues with its ability to clean these areas. I even took it up to my second floor a few times. It's all carpet up there and this cleans very well. So far I'm very impressed after being skeptical and not expecting much. It has been worth buying so far.

The vacuum was okay when it worked. Had decent suction power and I liked the edge clean feature. I didn’t like that it bumped into every single furniture and some of my walls though. The noise level was tolerable as well. I gave it two stars because for the price I expected it to last more than 14 months! It came home to see it sitting under my couch with no power so I moved it to the dock as I’ve done on a few other occasions but it’s been three days now it’s still not charged. Called customer service and was directed to clean the dock and put it back on. When that didn’t help I was told to find someone to fix it because it’s out of warranty! Well, I guess My next vacuum will definitely not be a Samsung

This is our first robot vacuum; I'd been looking at them for a while before I found this on the deal is the Day. I'm quite impressed with the cleaning power! With four dogs, the amount of fur found daily on our bamboo and tile floors was ridiculous! This bot does a fantastic job, reducing manual vacuuming to just once a week! Battery life is a little short; it dies about 2/3 through (large living room, entry, kitchen, and dining room) So we have to make two runs.

The vacuum unit is large and very impressive. Once you hook up with WiFi you can use it's advanced features. Use the "Samsung Things" app to control, set up cleaning schedules and other settings. You can also use Amazon's "Alexa" to control it's features. What sets this vacuum bot apart from other brands it the 20x powersuction feature. When the bot hits wall edges, the powerful suction makes it easy to get all the dust and dirt. There are different cleaning paths to setup or control manually like an RC car which makes it fun. I named my little guy Herbie. He vacuumed my entire house. Even under my bed when I was sleeping. He is either really quite or I was dead. I didnt even know he was in my room. I got up the next morning and I couldn't find him. I was looking in the livingroom where he started sweeping. I finally looked under my bed and there he was. He had run out of battery after vacuuming four rooms all while I slept. You should see the fine pieces of dirt he get out of my carpet. And he sweeps my hardwood floor too. A must have for all households especially a busy household like mine!

I was a bit apprehensive about getting one of these. Just exactly how good can this little robot vacuum thing be for mixed tile and carpet floors? Pretty darn good. We have a long haired dog that sheds like crazy. Oh, and he is multi colored (brown, gray, white, and black) so it shows up on everything. This vacuum (we named it Sparky) strolls around the 1st floor picking up the dirt that the kids drag in and all the dog hair. The only negative I could come up with so far is that the my daughter's long hair wraps around the brush and I have to snip it off with scissors to clean it up. It is super easy to get the brush in and out of the unit though and I have to do the same with my Shark and Dyson uprights so it's not really out of the norm. We are looking at purchasing another to keep the 2nd floor presentable between regular cleaning days.

Samsung - POWERbot R7040 App-Controlled Robot Vacuum works very well. It cleans the carpet quite well...not perfect but very well. The dust bin fills up after one use (approx 45 minutes) - so it takes a couple minutes of maintenance...but it's better than manually vacuuming for 30+ minutes. I still have a little trouble connecting it to Amazon Echo, but it should work after a bit more effort.

Plugged in charger, put the vacuum on the base and in a few hours tried the auto clean. Seems to do well and gets really close to walls, furniture and under the overhang of cabinets. Only issue for us is limited capacity of the catch bin given that we have a lot of dog hair.

Like the topic and what I've seen many other reviewers state. I really wanted to like this unit. It's got a great suction, and a lot of features that are only available on other expensive units. However, the thing is just plain dumb. It can barely track around the house, and spends so much time trying to navigate around the floor, the battery is drained and barely making a dent in the cleaning. It came with the recent Samsung appliance deal, so decided to give it a try. We have a different unit, which doesn't have as powerful a suction, but way more intelligent in navigating around the house, so back to that and away with this.

Very impressed with the build quality and performance of the Powerbot R7040. I have zero complaints with cleaning capability, battery life or usage, and it’s a very nice looking unit. It has the ability to pick up deeply embedded dirt, hair, dog food and other debris just like any normal high quality upright vacuum on any surface type.

The vacuum is convenient to use, has a low profile so it can go under beds, tables, and sofas. The dust bin holds a lot. I just wish you could program it to leave off where it stopped when battery went low. Batteries last about 45 minutes.

I was skeptical about these types of devices in the past. When I was told Samsung was giving them out for free with Samsung kitchen appliance packages, I said, "I don't want it, can I get a credit instead?" No was the answer. Now that I have it, I love it! It's really cool and picks up lots of dust and debris. Runs while I'm at work and if it's caught up in anything, it will try to free itself. If not, it shuts off. When it's done, it will park itself right back on the charger. It's awesome!

I find that this machine does not stay charged as long as the roomba brand. Has a hard time finding its electrical charge port unless its very close to it. Cleans very well in any case. I think i should have purchased the Roomba.

I compared several reviews of different models in this price range and this one was by far the best bang for the buck. This model has a mapping feature, which means this vacuum does not go in random patterns and maps the ceiling of your home to navigate throughout your home. It is extremely efficient. Don't pay too much attention to the battery life as this model will resume vacuuming where it left off before it left to the base to recharge. Is it perfect? No, I don't believe any robot is perfect but it will cut down the need to manually vacuum SIGNIFICANTLY.

The vacuum itself has great suction power and does a great job cleaning. My only complaint is where the dirt goes is so small, and I have 3 dogs so I am constantly having to clean that out mid-clean. In a light debris household it would do best. It has an edge bar which is a nice new feature and helps a bit with edging but not enough to get dog hair out of edges.

We have a golden retriever, and do they shed... we wanted a convenient way to keep our home dog hair free. The Samsung powerRobot did the trick!. Just turn it on and let it do it’s magic. Much much better than previous robots that got stuck all over the house
