Thank you for purchasing the Samsung PRO Plus memory card. Samsung drives and memory cards adhere to the IDEMA standard of advanced formatting, which will result in the card appearing as slightly less than the listed size. This is a common industry-wide standard.
The amount of space that appears to be "missing" is in fact used by the drive/card for storing firmware, metadata and spare blocks. Your operating system (Windows, Linux, etc.) will also affect the usable space -- different operating systems will use different amounts of space to store their metadata. Consequently, formatted space will always be less than unformatted space.
You can look IDEMA up online for more technical details about this standard, which is established by The International Disk Drive Equipment and Materials Association.

Buy for extra storage

Faster than some V60 cards

I returned some other higher-end V60 cards because they didn't write as quickly ( 80mb/s vs 103mb/s for these pro plus cards on two different 3.0 card readers) as the pro plus cards. And considering how inexpensive these are, they are a phenomenal deal. I can run my highest bit rate 4K video on my Panasonics and Canons without any issue with these cards. And clearing buffer they're not quite as fast as my best v90 cards, but they're as fast or faster than the V60 cards I had used up to now. And I can get 256 gb with Samsung for less than the price of a 64gb v60 card.
