THe Samsung Sound Bar is a great enhancement to my TV and music experience! It's easy to set up, especially if you have a modern flat screen TV with an optical audio out. I hooked up the system that way, and it turns on & off automatically when it senses sound data from the TV set. NOTE: Be sure to turn your TV's internal speakers OFF, and just have the sound bar & sub deliver the sound, or else the treble/bass levels are way off, as well as high end sound phasing - I learned that the hard way ;) It also has an analog 1/4" jack for hooking up an iPod, or receiving analog signal from an older TV. Since it is receiving sound data from the TV, the TV acts as the switcher. Just change the input on the TV (DVD, Game, Satellite, etc.) and the sound bar follows without any additional buttons or routing. One of my favorite parts is the wireless subwoofer. While the sound bar sits at the bottom of the TV, the sub is halfway across my room, under a side table between the couch and love seat. So there is plenty of bass for watching TV, without disturbing the rest of the house (or neighborhood!). It doesn't do the best job as a replacement for your high fidelity CD listening - but then again, it's not meant to be. The sub level and the few EQ presets on the unit could be more editable for my taste - especially for straight up music listening - but there's also a brilliance in its simplicity: Just plug it in, and the sound bar and sub take care of the rest. I've found that in my TV viewing room (large family room) - about 30' x 25' - the Samsung sound bar and sub are fantastic. However, I would probably be disappointed with it if I was trying to fill a large space. The sub, especially, is not meant to be powerful enough for that. In all, I'm extremely satisfied with the sound bar and sub. The sound quality and range of frequency response is fantastic, especially in the immediate viewing area. And visually, it seamlessly fades into being part of the TV - versus unsightly giant speakers, cables & wires.

Overall, this unit is fairly good. No problems to speak off other than the fact that the sub-woofer's wireless connection is through wifi, and disrupts my ps3's connection to the internet. Other than that, I am satisfied. I would have gave it 4 stars if the unit didn't interrupt my internet connection.

Sound contains a reverberation noise. Unit sent in once allready for repair. Do not buy any sound system without hearing the unit first hand. Some day I will just put in on the curb with the trash.

Just doesn't work as I thought, going to give to my son and buy something else
