I love this tablet. It has the apps that I need to stay productive and have fun in my down time. It is still a good size screen but can be held in one hand easily. What really sold me was the stylus. I don't always use it but it's great to have one at the ready when you want it.

This is the first android tablet I have actually enjoyed. The things I don't like about it can easily be fixed. What I don't like: slippery feel when used without cover (buy a cover), Wish it had more GBs (buy a memory card b/c it does have a sd slot). The power of this tablet is noticeable. I am big on Apple products, but can honestly say Samsung did a great job with this one. I've had the Asus Transformer Prime, Transformer TF300 (2*), galaxy tab 2 - 7in, and nexus 7 1st gen. and the note 8 blows all of them away. Still Enjoying It!!!

Galaxy Note 8.0 is an excellent piece of technology. I wanted to go from a Galaxy Note 2 7.0 to a larger size. I do have a iPad 3rd Gen but I wanted something bigger to play flash games (i.e. outside of Play Store). I love the stylus it definitely matches the rest of the unit, white. Fast quad core processor. Good Amount of RAM, 2 GB (actually varies).

I purchased the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 to replace my original Galaxy Tab. I used my old tablet on a daily basis for reading emails,remote computer access, database applications, etc. The new tablet does all of those things but so much better. The screen is just a little bigger, but it is remarkably brighter and clearer which makes reading and input much easier. The size of the tablet is still such that it fits in my pants pocket or coat pocket, and it is light enough to carry around without problems. The stylus input is a joy. I use it almost exclusively. WiFi functions are flawless, which is a good thing since the device does not have cellular connectivity.

I bought this for use of movie and games, I am sure the nexus would of been a better choice but I prefer samsung. It works perfect for my needs. It's fast, smooth, good color, clear screen. Battery takes a while to charge but it's not a big deal. I wish there were better accessories for it. The sound on it though is very low, you need headphones for it.

I bought the tablet for my husband. I am an apple lover but my husband has yet made the switch over to apple. He loves his android and its features. It is easier to use than the iPad, has better advantages such as the ability to add a memory card to increase your memory which the iPad does not. It takes great pictures. He uses it for both pleasure and business. It is a great competitor for the iPad and the price is just right.

I "splurged" for this tablet because I had a ton of credit card points saved up and basically was able to pay for it entirely through gift cards. I was a former iPad owner and was looking for something a little more useful for work (medicine), and the Galaxy Note 8 is perfect for my needs. Whereas my iPad was used exclusively for consuming media, I use my Note 8 for taking notes, creating presentations, editing manuscripts, annotating PDFs of journal articles, and everything else I used an iPad for. Plus, it fits in my white coat pocket! All that said, I don't know that I would've bought it if I had to pay full price for it. I'm glad I have it, but the premium price makes it a little less attractive.

Over great tab. Has lots of multi windows. Runs strong apps well. Nice screen and battery life.

I love the size of this tablet. Lighter than a 10 inch. Good size for reading ebooks or digital magazines. Great for knitting patterns (pdf files). It has a micro SD card slot for expanding storage. And, the apps for the S pen are good and fun! You can even save a screen shot! Good value compared to an iPad.

It's just like my Samsung Galaxy S4 but with more features and a large split screen capability. S Pen works great once you get the feel of the pen to the surface functions. Returned from Seoul S. Korea just before I purchased the 8.0 here at home. In Seoul the tablet is also a phone (totally bluetooth) and has the electronic wallet for quick taps to purchase anything from food to a taxi fare. The 8.0 is definately new technology and exciting to use. Makes the iPad great for old folks who enjoy the same old technology. Don't want the hassle of lugging around a big clunky iPad and an oxygen bottle.

I love this tablet. Like that I can hand write or type notes. Perfect size for carrying at the office, and fits into any bag. Same os as my phone - didn't have to learn a whole new system. Still exploring all the features. Great battery life.

I bought this as a personal tablet that I could also use for work and it has exceeded my needs and expectations. I love the pre-loaded AwesomeNote app that lets me jot down notes or create to do lists during meetings. I'm then able to email the information to my colleagues moments later. And it's inconspicuous to carry around. It fits in my purse and isn't obnoxious to pull out during meetings. And, oh, the stylus. It understands my chicken scratch penmanship - even when I'm writing in cursive! And the predictive text is freakishly accurate. It doesn't just predict what you're try to spell, it predicts THE NEXT WORD IN YOUR SENTENCE. Of course the Google integration runs deep, but is actually useful, versus intrusive. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Google Now app. I check it every morning for the weather and my first meeting of the day. I wish the camera were a little better. I wasn't planning to whip out the tablet to grab a photo, but on the few occasions where I did use the camera they came out low quality. I'll stick to my digital or my S3.

I must say that this is a wonderful product I recently switched from the iPad to get the note 8.0 and I'm very pleased with my decision that I made. The price was a lot better for my budget and it didn't make me feel as if I had just put a down payment on a car for my purchase like it felt when I purchased my iPad. Just to get the tablet with enough gigabytes and i use alot. I use this tablet to read, to watch movies, for social media, email, to store my pictures my thoughts and interest in life. The Thing I love the most about it is that it came with 16 gigabytes and I was able to purchase a SD card 64 gigabyte sd card and put it right inside of a device instead of having to recycle my items that were purchased. The one thing that really bugs me about Apple if you purchase an item with them the 16 Gigabyte that is just it you are not able to add more gigabyte therefore you have to recycle your items and applications just too have space on your tablet. So I am very very pleased with the note 8.0.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is my first tablet experience, so I must attribute at least some my problems in setting it up and using it in the beginning to inexperience with this type of device. Otherwise, the Galaxy Note is a terrific tablet, even at its somewhat premium price point. The screen is very sharp, the color is excellent and it displays complex graphics very quickly. The 8-inch screen is a nice compromise of size, weight, visibility and ease of handling. The only weak point I have found to date is that the speakers leave a bit to be desired in sound quality. Sound with a headset is great, but the tiny speakers on the thin edge of the tablet are fully adequate for listening to a short video or message, but I wouldn't want to listen to my favorite music very long with these speakers. Any sense of deep bass is pretty much lost with them. With the exception of the speakers' sound quality, I would recommend this tablet to anyone who needs speed and screen quality in a very solidly built portable device.

This was purchased to replace my 7inch Dell Streak. Although this does not include telephone features, it does everything else the Streak did with an inch larger display and lighter in weight. The volume and on button are sometimes pressed unintentionally when picking up the tablet. I have only put 1 application on it from the ANDROID market, but that installation was easy and straight-forward. I am very happy with my purchase. I am not a techy type and it is my experience that this Samsung Note 8 is as simple or complex as the user choses to make it.

This is a very nice device. It was easy to set up. I previously owned the tab 7.0. I had no problems getting everything on my new tablet. I like the stylus, it was one of the main reasons I traded tablets. I'm still getting the hang of android devices. I also have an iPad, which is my main tablet. I can appreciate both platforms. This tablet works great for my purposes. I have noticed that the battery drains pretty quick, compared to my iPads. Not a deal breaker. The sales associates in best buy were great at showing me the features and uses for stylus.

I was debating between the ipad mini and the Samsung Note 8. It is the perfect size and has added sd card for extra memory. Picture and sound are good. Happy with my purchase.

I bought this for personal use and found it is great for online school classes when I'm away and need to log on. Quad core seems to help with faster streaming speed. Also enjoy the HD screen, great for watching movies.

I mainly chose this tablet because I love to draw and this is the only tablet that has drawing capabilities this detailed and sharp. I love it! There's plenty of apps available to really make quality artwork. I love this size becuse I can tote it around in my purse. I also use this tablet as my e-reader and the battery life is quite decent. Settings are easily adjustable for screen brightness and dimming times. The only thing that does bother me is the volume buttons on the side can easily be hit and then all of the sudden my purse is telling me I have no Internet connection or that I have an email. If there was a way to quickly shut off the sound and keep it off (even if buttons were touched) then it would pretty much be perfect! A great tablet!
