    Can not control the automatic zoom and the camera keeps zooming in and out while skyping

    Picked up this camera because the STC3000 was no longer available. It was theoretically supposed to work with the older Samsung TVs but inexplicably does not work with Skype. I returned it with no problem from Best Buy. Why one star? It probably works as advertised with newer Samsung TVs but it is beyond irritating that Samsung discontinued the previous model and didn't afford backwards compatibility (or Skype update) for the older sets.

    My first skype was with my son, daughter-in-law and grandaughter. My son, who is picky, was very impressed with the quality of the picture. Our skyking prior to this was done with a computer. The 50" Samsung TV produced a very good picture from the computer my sone was using. That was impressive too. I was affraid blowing up the picture would degrade the quality much more than it was.

    The picture still is a little grainy. I have noticed that when using a program like SKYpE it will auto zoom on a face. I'm not sure if it is the camera or the tv I'm using it with. Sound quality is excellent.

    We bought this as a father's day gift for my Dad. He uses it regularly with long-distance relatives and it very happy being able to use Skype on his 51" HDTV.
