The batteries for very fast I get about 2 weeks then a new set. I use this to work with my smart for so when kids get home I can trigger it to open door after the cameras uses face I'd to verify who they are as a double security method but batteries for to fast and you have to delete and re add to hub all the time

I keep this sensor in my vehicle to automatically open and close my garage door. For the most part it works well but couple times a month it'll go into a fit of home/away going between them every 10 minutes or so. My remedy for this is to repair the device without removing it (in the app, just add a new device. While hubs in pairing mode, follow the instructions to factory reset the sensor. It wont pop up on app as a found device, but the led indicates its paired and network is refreshed)

I have read other reviews and don't understand the bad ones. These things work as they should. Someone leaves, it let's you know, someone arrives, it let's you know. That's exactly how they work, and how they are supposed to work. No issues!

Good utilitarian app and device. As an iPhone user, it is kind of buggy. Does the job but only about 75% of the time.

This sensor works flawlessly until it started malfunctioning a few days ago. We parked the car in the same spot and continued to receiving arriving home notifications several times for 90 minutes after we got home. The hub or sensor probably kept losing connectivity with each other and "sensed" arrival when it reconnected.

Great idea would probably work better with more reliable Internet. I have noticed everything on the Internet cycles unit thinks it has just arrived back home which activated the programmed events turning on lights opening doors.

My porch is up a flight of stairs with the light switch at the top. Rather than leave the light on all day or going up a dark flight of stairs the arrival sensor turns on the smart light as soon as I approach my apartment building. Feels so much safer!

This presence sensor does a decent job if there are no wifi networks stepping on your zigbee frequency. I had to re-position my router and Smartthings hub in order to get it to function properly. Smartthings is moving more toward the zigbee standard, which has caused interference issues for my system on several occasions.

The Samsung - SmartThings Arrival Sensor gives me the piece of mind of knowing that my family got home. Specially when I still at work and they ask me to stay a little longer. It notifies me of my family arrival, that they made back home safely.

There honestly are not many things to not work with this item. Now the smart things hub in which it connects to can be a tad finicky at times. But this does what I wanted. And the price is reasonable. Though Best Buy has become my Last resort to purchase items do to their short 14 day and limited return policy.

The arrival sensor I placed on my wife's car keys allowed the system to sense when she was home and would safely light her way in the home. The front porch light would come on in addition to the living room and bedroom light. It is great.

It is accurate in that it tells me when it is gone and when it returns. It was easy to install it and it works much better than an ADT motion sensor, which is useless and dead. Samsung needs to improve on its motion sensors.
