Got 2 of these when I was at BB and saw them on for half off ($20) and they work great. Easy to include and set up and works very well. Have it on the doorway going into the laundry in the basement so that the light comes on when you walk in (carrying laundry, say).

This motion detector works fine. Use in living room, or bedroom for Smartthings.. Temperature sensor is a plus,, Small form factor makes it to stick in the wall using adhesive, no holes..

Loved the easy set up and small size to hide the box in a corner. Not too crazy about the range but it does the job.

I would rank the smart things hub higher than other as far as usefulness just because it controls so many different things. I use it as a bridge between Alexa, my Vivint alarm system, many lights, door bells, door locks, camera, smoke dectors, thermostats, samsung R1 speakers and even my harmony one remotes

I use the motion sensor to turn lights on and to protect my house. If you don't want to pay a monthly bill for security service, add multiple motion sensors to your smartthings system.

Like my Door and leak sensors, the motion sensor works well when not offline. It's gone offline twice in under a month and there is no way to know unless you check the app. And the app makes me log back in constantly. The sensor is discrete and easy to tuck out of obvious line of sight. I'd recommend but be prepared to trouble shoot (popping battery out then back in seems to do the trick).

Thing is great when it’s working but it disconnects from the hub every other day and it’s really annoying to always have to reset it and connect again

As compared to the older version of this which is included in the Monitoring kit, this new version has about half the motion detection range/sensitivity. This is good and bad. Good if you want zone coverage in s room. Bad if wang full and deep coverage. Also like all brand motion detectors some faulty units may give false detections, which is not specifically about Smartthings but same for all brands. Most sensors work fine. Very useful device. Instead of many open/close devices covering many windows and doors a single motion sensor can cover all.

I heard that this version was less sensitive and only works within 10 feet. But I only need it to detect when somebody comes into my house through my garage door. I have it about 6 feet away and it picks up motion every time. I'm satisfied with it.

I purchased the motion sensor at the same time I purchased the SmartThings hub to finally create a more connected home. The motion sensor does exactly what it should by detecting motion to run specific scenes through the SmartThings hub. However, I'd like to be able to adjust the sensitivity so that my pets don't set it off. Overall the sensor runs exactly as described.

This product is made by Samsung to work smoothly with Samsung SmartThings ecosystem. This sensor was purchased to keep track of a room and let me know if there is activity when there should not be. Additionally, it was simple to set up since it doesn’t have any cords. It did come with optional mounting plate. I was also presently surprised to find that it has temperature sensing capabilities which also work with SmartThings thermostat features. I would recommend this to anyone with Samsung SmartThings as it is natively supported and easy to set up and place.

This sensor does very well to measure motion. However, the hub needs a little more work on keeping sync'ed with the sensors without losing contact. I have over 25 devices. The hub, on a weekly basis will lose connection with ~ 1-2 sensors; therefore, I have to re-Pair the devices. It's happened whether 10 ft or 25 ft from the router.

The product works as expected and integrates well with SmartThings hub. My use case is connected to Hue lights to turn on upon entry to a room. The only downside is the compete range of motion it can detect. Depending on room layout it might be a little problem matic, but should work for most open areas. It seems the range is about 10 feet tops. I’ve had installed a little over a week and the battery is reading 90% so that will be something to keep an eye on.

I bought this to replace a balky multisensor from another manufacturer. It works well. While it's missing some of the features of the other sensor (lux/humidity), it works as it's supposed to. Nice sensor.

I wasn’t really sure what we would want these for but my Husband used them to set timers for motion. So if he gets up and goes to the living room st night the lights will turn on for him. Pretty neat.

I have two of these so far and one open/close sensor. I never have to work the lights in the garage anymore. They come on when I open the door and stay on while Im doing stuff in the garage. They also come on when I pull the car or motorcycle in the garage. The lights then turn off 5 minutes after no motion is detected. Works Great.

Placed this at the bottm of the stairs when gong down to the basement. Lights automatically turn on when I get to the bottom step and turn off if no motion is sensed for fifteen minutes.
