It is easy to install and use. I just wish It had a greater angle when it is in motion detect.

The motion sensor is easy to install. It is one of several items available through SmartThings. There are no wires. All you have to do is use two sided tape, or place it on a ledge or piece of furniture. The sensor is light weight and small, but covers a large area. It provides me with a piece of mind while I'm away or at night while I'm sleeping. I have it activated at a certain time each night so I don't have to think about it.

I have a recirculating pump on my water heater to get hot water up to the third floor of my townhome faster. The pump has a timer but I wanted to have it come on whenever someone goes into the bathroom. I placed the SmartThings motion sensor over the bathroom door pointing into the bathroom to control a WEMO Mini outlet connected to the pump and it works as I had hoped. The only negative is there is no indicator light on the motion sensor showing when it senses motion. I ended up placing another WEMO Mini outlet in the bathroom, also activated by the motion sensor. The WEMO Mini has an indicator that lights up when it's turned on by the motion sensor. I have found the motion sensor to be very consistent in picking up motion and controlling the outlets. Note that walking directly towards or away from the sensor will not activate it. You must be moving perpendicular to the sensor for it to sense motion.

I like these motion detectors, they work very well. Easy to setup and like that I can set alerts for times I want them monitored through the smartthings app.

Sensor works as expected. No false alarms. Problem is that it has a slightly slower response time than the previous version. I put them right next to each other and it takes about a second longer. The range also seems a few feet less.

Set this up to work with my smartthings and wemo lights. It monitors motion and turns on or off the lights as needed. Works great, easy set up, no problems!

The Smartthings motion sensor is a small, very sensitive motion sensor that is easy to install and link with the Smartthings hub. It pretty much hides on a white wall. It also acts as a wireless repeater so other Smartthings accessories can be mounted further away from the hub. The only complaint is that it is not pet friendly. Our cats repeatedly triggered the motion sensor every time they walked through the area. This should be stated on the box. If you have pets, Ecolink has a compatible motion sensor that is pet-friendly.

Replaced batteries even though it said 70 percent, don't know if it's sensor failure or updates on the hub. To much money spent on alarm system for it to only last a year, also to many false alarms.

i have it for about a year and worked good so far and i think they battery runs out every 6 months in heavy traffic area

I like this device because it was easy to install and easy to maintain. It is nice for a hassel-free security system.

Have several of these with our Smart Things system. Added this one to laundry room. Great for freeing up hands
