I really like this outlet. There are cheaper ones available, and I was hesitant about buying an "off brand". Maybe I'll get a little more daring as I learn more about home automation, but for now the combination of the Samsung hub and this Samsung outlet are working great. I didn't realize this when I bought it, but this outlet also acts as a repeater. It allows my Samsung hub to communicate with some lights pretty far from the actual hub.

I bought two of these devices for repeaters from the Smart Home. I have a large house and used these devices to ensure the range would be enough. Including the second story.

Works as described, turns on and off my floor lamp. I use the Samsung Smartthings hub with the iPhone app.

Bought to replace another smart outlet that would not stay connect to my WiFi every time we had a power surge. These Samsung smart outlets reconnect every time we lose power on their own. Very easy to setup.

I bought this because it was on sale and I wanted an additional wired device to enhance my ZigBee mesh network. While the SmartOutlet works fine there is nothing that makes it stand out beyond less expensive Z-Wave alternatives that also integrate with Smartthings. Unlike the GE SmartOutlet (Z-Wave), it does not include a 2nd connector that acts as a pass through plug and it isn't compact enough to avoid blocking the adjacent outlet if installed in the top opening. A less expensive alternative ZigBee repeater would be an inexpensive light fixture and a ZigBee bulb, like the Cree Connected bulb, even if the light bulb were never used. The only real reason to get this outlet were if your IoT mesh network devices were primarily ZigBee battery powered devices. Otherwise a Z-wave alternative would be a less expensive alternative for the same functionality.

Have only had limited experience with this so far. Set up was easy and pretty straight forward. Lamp where this was plugged in worked fine, turning on and off as programmed. However, we lost power during a recent trip and I returned to find this plug shut down and needing reprogramming/resetting. Didn't perform any better than an analog timer in my one experience. Have since switched to Phillips Hue bulbs as have not had a history of reset problems with them when the power goes out or flickers. The bulbs reconnect to my hub and return to the program when the power returns. Will give this plug another try again, but at first impression, I'm not happy with the performance.

love the remote control. Just a bit pricey, but they do go on sale.

I have the Samsung smart things hub. I am slowly adding things to my home and my network. In order to make it safe secure and give me peace of mind. These outlets are wonderful because they're easy to use and give convenience. And you can monitor everything from the app on your phone

It works! With Google Home I can turn my lights on and off by voice command via the SmartThings hub, not to mention have them come on when I return home. A hamster could do the setup. What's not to like?

This is my second outlet and both have worked flawlessly. They were also very easy to attach to my Smartthings hub. I would definitely recommend it.

I'm new to smart home devices and this is an easy way to start. I've paired the plugs with Amazon Echo and the combo is fun and efficient.

Works great and as advertised. The company needs to great a manual with details, however. Product is great, but documentation isn't.

I have it in the kids room with an Alexa dot. Have it setup for wake up and bed time routines to turn off and on lights with humidifier on demand. Pretty awesome

There really isn't much to this device, plug it in, add it to your Smart Things Hub and your ready to go. I use this one for a Christmas lights schedule.

Love this- I use it in my bedroom so I can turn it on before I turn out the rest of the house lights. Works great and remote too!
