Can't be installed

With a lot of effort (the handle on the pin is buried in the band) I got the buckle side installed. I then went to work on the other half. After about five minutes of work, and my third chipped nail in three years, I gave up and threw the band away. It would probably work okay if I could actually get it installed, but a watch band that won't attach to the watch is pretty useless.
