I bought this during the Black Friday sale and it's a great deal! $50 for a fast DVD/Blu-ray player. Built-in apps are excellent for those who do not have a Chromecast or Apple TV or Roku. It is compact and blends in well with my media center.

This Blue Ray player is small and convenient. It has streaming services such as Netflix and also has access to a number of other kinds of apps. I got this for my son to hook up to a small TV in his bedroom. It was inexpensive, easy to hookup and works just fine!

This is a wonderful player. It is able to play all Blu-rays at a very high resolution. The additional Wi-Fi capability along with an ethernet port really help to expand everything that it can do. I highly recommend this as a great mid range player. He built in applications really expand and open the user to a world of entertainment. There are constant updates to the applications, along with additional applications that really take it to the next level.

This is my second purchase. Both has worked flawlessly. Setup is easy. Works well using wireless connection. Mainly purchased my second one for the aps (Netflix, Vudu, etc.). Purchased a Roku first and returned it due to the remote had such a short range, had to get up close to the TV to get it to work. For just a few more bucks, purchased this player and gained a Blu-ray player.

Easy set up, just plug and play. Syncs with my Samsung TV. The price is practically a steal. Love that it has wifi streaming apps preloaded. My only complaint is that when it's off it periodically whirrs on like it's ready to start playing a DVD.

I was looking to purchase an inexpensive BluRay for the bedroom. With the added bonus of Netflix and Amazon, this was a nice bundle at the right price. The machine can be a bit slow in transition between apps, and sometimes it will not connect saying the system is updating. Overall, once its playing a movie its easy to pause and fast forward or rewind. I actually have not used it as a BluRay player yet. There is no light indicator to tell if its on or off and a light up remote would have been nice considering all the buttons. But I am happy with the purchase for the price point.

Love the wifi keeps me from running extra wire from one end of the house to the other. Has a good a sort mentioned of apps already included in sytem. D d player or blue Ray disc.player works very good Good price and good quality. Good match.

I bought this player so that I would have something to watch my Blu rays on and to have Netflix and Amazon video capabilities in my bedroom. I'm so glad I bought it. It works great. I couldn't be happier with it.

I thought my old blue ray player was good, but when I switched to TW and 5G it still had problems. This machine is the best, great price, easy set up, Netflix and Amazon on big Tv. Just love this. Will buy 4 more for beach house.

It is a "stealth" looking component with a very small footprint. It can easily fit in with other A/V components. However, the console does not have a light or any type of indicator to let you know when the unit is on or off. This can be very frustrating. Once you figure out how to tell when the unit is on, it is easy to use. Streaming movies from Netflix is easy and the quality is great. Lots of other great features as well. Love the USB port.

Great picture love Hulu and Netflix and being able to use you tube. Easy to operate. Small and compact. Can use in small spaces. Easy to connect.

I’ve been using this streaming Blu-ray player for about 2 weeks now. The picture quality on my TV is very good. There are lots of Apps that you can download also. The remote is a good size, and is easy to control. Set-up on the TV was very easy. The reason for the 4 stars is because this unit is made entirely out of plastic, and does not even have a “power on” indicator which really surprises me being manufactured by Samsung. I would never pay full price for this unit, but on sale it’s a great deal!

Easy set-up. good quality picture from DVD. Not yet tried blu-ray. Only 1 negative - There is no power light to indicate if it is on or off.

I've bought 4 of these (great deal on sale often) and have noticed a significant upscaling of dvd's, both store-bought & 'burnt' copies. Blu-ray is quite vivid. Only used one to stream (until very recently) as we now have a houseful of varying Roku devices and Roku TV's. Never had a problem with streaming; so then, what is my but........ there is NO LIGHT on the power button!! NO WAY to tell if the bloody thing is on or not...hit open on remote...if tray opens, it's on!!

I read a lot of reviews of this player on a lot of sites before buying it. The major gripe people had with it is the lack of indication if the unit is turned on or not. Most reviewers were so concerned about that issue that they either didn't have any other concerns with the unit or didn't mention them. Since no one seemed to have any serious problems with the unit, I decided to buy it, given the great Black Friday pricing. Let's get this out of the way up front. Yes, this unit has absolutely no lights on the front or any indication whatsoever to tell you if it's turned on or not. Personally, I don't see this as a problem. When I turn on the player, the TV turns on and everything works. When I turn off the TV, the player turns off. If for some odd reason the player were to stay on when I turned off the TV, I don't really care. The player will go to sleep after a while anyway. With that stupidity out of the way, the player itself is a very mainstream Blu-Ray player. It has all the apps and DLNA features you would expect from a similarly priced unit. It spins up quickly and is responsive to the remote. I bought this unit as a replacement for a similar Samsung unit I purchased about 2 years ago that developed problems playing most Blu-Ray discs. The old player would freeze and stutter during playback. I've had this new unit for about a month and it's played every disc I tried in it perfectly. The apps (Netflix, Pandora, Hulu, etc...) all work well. Yes, the Netflix problem that plagued early versions of this player have been fixed. The player has built in WiFi, which is nice, but I have it hard-wired, and you should too for best performance. Don't hook up your player with WiFi and then complain that Netflix is buffering all the time. All in all it's a nice basic player for the money. It doesn't have any fancy features or controls at all. It does everything I need it to do, play Blu-Ray discs and stream Pandora, Netflix and other services. I just hope it lasts longer than the 18 months the previous player lasted.

Plays blu ray dvds just fine. Easy to set up. Compact size compared to old player. Not being used for streaming.

This samsung is exactly what I was looking for. I had to upgrade from a cheap Sony Blu-ray player that would skip while watching movies. The discs worked great in other players so my old player was definitely the problem. Netflix is easy to get up and running on this machine even for my 4 year old. No skipping yet while watching movies. The only thing that bugs me a little is that there are no indicator lights at all. So you don't know if it is on or not. But that is not a huge deal since it works great.
