We appreciated the good price and features such as Blu Ray and access to online services like Netflix. The setup was easy and the user manual card for the remote is clear and helpful. The only thing we do not like about this DVD player is that there is no light to indicate when the unit is "ON", which is very surprising in this day of high technology! Otherwise, we are very satisfied with our purchase.

Great item for the price. Easy to set up. Worked first time. Makes the picture a lot sharper on the television set. Able to stream. No problems so far.

Plays well, simple to use. Nice price for wireless with apps. Just wish there was a power on indicator. It's weird to see it just sit there while in use.

Wonderful picture and apps. Easy set up. Would be nice to have led read out of where the dvd is in terms of play time. “ on front of DVD player. e.g. movie is at 1:01 of a movie that is 2:15 long. Great apps available. Pic is beautiful for blue ray on TV’s that are 1080, 720, and 4K resolution. Does not play 4K dvd’s. Really good buy. Great picture.

i am just so excited the sales man did not try to sell me more than i needed streaming and dvd is my only form of video, I JUST LOVE BEST BUY!!!!!! .

got this because the price was right and wanted to add blu ray as well as stream netflix and amazon prime. it met and exceeded my expectations

This thing was easy to hook up and get connected to my network. Works great and great picture from it. Very nice price also.

I needed a streaming DVD player to replace an older model DVD player that went out. It's has apps such as Netflix, Pandora and Amazon and works as it should. It is a compact size with no other bells and whistles I wish it had a power light so I can easily tell when its actually on. I later purchased a Samsung Smart TV, so as it turns out I really didn't need the streaming capability.

My blu-ray died after 6 years of great viewing. I decided to stop at Best Buy and purchase a new one. I spoke with a great sales person who explained the differences and features of the multiple machines. I asked him for his personal choice and he suggested this machine. It happened to be the one I was leaning toward. As I went to pick it up he said, better deal, this is an Open-Box and it is discounted. I asked about what that meant, he explained the possible reasons and said this one was a return and was checked by Geek Squad. I purchased it. It played Blu-rays great, problem was playing a standard DVD - the sound would not work. All it did was play this high pitch screech and static. I exchanged that machine and now the new one WORKS GREAT! I love the quick start feature and the automatic updates. No machine will last forever, they all are about 3-5 years of life and done. Try this one, great picture, sound and nice features!

After reading Best Buy reviews and discovering the great reviews on Consumer Report I ordered this Blueray player. As expected it worked beautifully. It arrived right on time, was packages well and was very easy to set up. Like other reviews, the only problem I encountered is there is no off/on indicator light. Not overly important, but a little inconvenient when setting up.

I like the size and the quality of the picture from the blue rays and also like the ability to watch netflix and hulu from the dvd player

I don’t like the shape nor the buttons. Also it has no LES or other light indicating on the front. But.... It’s great. The WiFi signal is great. The processing is way better than my other Sony. Loads way faster. Picture is as expected with a new Blu Ray. Compact size and responsive no sluggish remote make it easy to hide and operate.

I recently purchased a 32 inch Samsung television. I do not have cable throughout my entire house, so I purchased this Blu-ray player for my master bedroom. It works great! Super fast and super easy. The only downside is there is no power on/off light, so it's hard to tell when the machine is actually on. In spite of that I would buy this product all over again.

This is a great machine. It does BluRay and DVD well, and has done amazon streaming for us flawlessly. The only issue I have is zero external signs the machine is on or working. Well it hums a little, but an led would be nice.

After updating firmware to v. 1005 on 4/13/15, Netflix is working fine. Apps include Amazon, but not HBO Go, although maybe future updates will add HBO. Comes with HDMI cable and AAA batteries. USB on front. HDMI, digital audio out, Ethernet on back. Yes, it has WiFi and Ethernet. Picture is great. Plays BluRay, DVD, CD, and audio CDs. Requires remote (included) to operate, but works with Samsung TV remote, so you don't need multiple remotes. Updating firmware takes <2 min online with FiOS 25/25 internet. Detects my wifi network from the other side of the house with chimney in between, so I think it has a good wifi receiver. Does not have a power light, but not a major issue. You will certainly know when it's off because there will be no picture on the screen. Don't read reviews prior to firmware v. 1005 on this machine. It's a very good BD player at a very good price.

We loved the Blu Ray player for one tv that we don't have connected to cable in the house. It was great for streaming NetFlix so we bought another one.....then the first one we bought said it was ready for an update. Now it doesn't work at all. It won't even power up. So while it works it is great but do not update it when prompted
