It seems slow compared to other SSD drives, it takes a while to open video files, I don't know for photos since I use it only for video, it started acting funny after 3 months of use, I tried to fix any issues with Disk Utility but it did not work, I tried Terminal and it did not work either, so I decided not to use it any more because I'm afraid it will fail at any moment, so I transfer all my data to another disk before anything happen, so in my experience I don't recommend the T5 EVO SSD, not reliable at all.

Purchased this for storage for my Series X. (Note: I bought it for *storage*. I know you can’t launch native Series games from external storage.) The Xbox only recognizes it as media storage, but even for that gives an error message that it’s too slow. Worthless for a console.

I’m very sorry for the difficulties you’ve experienced with your T5 EVO SSD and X Box. We completely understand your frustrations, and we are here to help.
Here are a few steps you can try to resolve this:
Check the USB Cable: Ensure you are using a USB 3.0 or 3.1 cable. Sometimes, using a different cable can resolve speed issues.
Format the SSD: Make sure the SSD is formatted correctly. The recommended formats are NTFS or exFAT. You can format the drive using a PC or Mac before connecting it to your Xbox.
Firmware Update: Check if there are any firmware updates available for your SSD. Updating the firmware can sometimes resolve compatibility and performance issues.
If the symptom persists even after you follow these troubleshooting guidelines, please contact Samsung Customer Support.

It is big enough. However, much slower in data transfer than compared to a mechanical hard drive. It took 3 days to transfer 3 TB of data and only 1 day with the mechanical hd.

Thank you for purchasing the Samsung 75 EVO SSD and for your review. We value your feedback regarding the speed of your drive.
The maximum transfer speed that can be achieved by the T5 EVO is 460 MB/s on a PC that supports USB 3.2 Gen1 and UASP Mode, but the speed may vary depending on the user‘s PC environment and the types of data being transferred.
As there are various factors that could affect speed, I would encourage you to call Samsung Customer Support to troubleshoot your issue.
