I have purchased 2 UHD Bluray titles to test. Everything looks beautiful, except that I see occasional video glitches (2 or 3 during the Martian and 1 during Sully). I'm in the video industry, so I'm pretty sensitive to these things, but the glitches would be noticeable to anyone. They appear to be performance related (not decoding artifacts). I am hoping that future software updates may make these go away. Otherwise (it's a big "otherwise" I know), everything with the unit seems fine.

This player, like other Samsung components, doesn't disappoint. While the picture isn't quiet as good as the Panasonic's, the price can't be beat. You are talking about a difference you'd never notice unless you could do a side-by-side comparison. However, the fit and finish lacks a lot. The cabinet is mostly plastic and appears cheap for a relatively high-end piece of equipment. I guess that's what you get when you buy the latest and greatest technology in its first generation.
