It truly does upgrade quality of most Blurays and DVDs. But the 4K movies are truly UHD. I would recommend that it be paid with a Samsung 4K television to truly see the quality.

This was a personal purchase as a Christmas present for myself. So, I didn't mind splurging a bit to get what I wanted. This was a wonderful purchase to be able to finally utilize the 4K abilities of my television. Currently there just aren't a whole lot of options, but I purchased while this was on sale which was great! Good quality player. Make sure you get a current high speed HDMI cable. The older ones may not deliver the 4K signal.

This is a true 4k product that I can really tell the difference. Do to the 4k experience being "some what new" I have been using the 4k Netflix until more products are available in 4k. I have been able to see small upgrades from the Netflix 4k movie's compared to the regular HD but with this blue ray player I can see and also hear the 4k experience! Its great! If you have a 4k television this is a must buy! also easy wireless connection.

I purchase this player for my 55 vizio 4ktv. And even though i dont have the hdr update yet on my tv, the 4k movies show brilliant on it. Love the player just not the price.

I have had the player for 5 weeks and I love it. It was easy to set up and easy to use. I don't care for how the function of FF and REW buttons on the remote works, but I have a Harmony remote so it really does not matter. I am waiting for my new 4k TV and my first UHD Blu-ray disk to see how incredible the picture truly is. It will be a merry x-mas.

This is a good 4K Blu ray player. I don't have anything I can really compare it to since there isn't any on the market. I wasn't totally impressed with it. I did like the fact that it had apps. The price could be cheaper. Overall, it's a decent buy.

Watched Smurfs 2 with this player on my LG 55EF9500 TV. You thought HD was great? 4K Ultra HD with high dynamic range will blow your mind. The increased color gamut and wide dynamic range creates almost a 3D sensation. I also played a Jurassic World disc ( blu-ray,but not hdr) and the player upscaled the 1920x1080p conent to 4K. WOW!!!!! The player also plays regular DVDs and CDs. If you have any 3D discs it will play them too. GREAT VALUE!!!

loads Blue Ray DVD very fast. Improves the video image on every DVD and Netflix programs. Great Apps. My only complaint is that the remote doesn't have a fast forward function. You can move ahead, but can't stop at a specific location on the DVD

This player does a wonderful job of playing 4K as well as upconverting normal bluray discs to near 4K quality. Speedy loading. My only complaint was the small remote that failed to respond to most commands. It also doesn't use normal common battery types instead uses button type watch batteries. Mine didn't even have one included in new packaging. Fortunately, normal samsung remotes and any programmable remotes connect easily.

Main thing I would like to point about this blu ray player is that you can adjust the audio sync with the film. Could not do this with other blu ray players. 4K playing looks great and 3D function is amazing. Remote is little and pressing the proper functions is difficult for women's hands let alone bigger ones. Actual movie disc playing is the only thing I will be using it for, so I cannot comment on the online app functions.

Amazing picture (4k with HDR combined with LG OLED) and the upscale on standard Blu-ray disks is pretty good too. The only downside is the lack of 4k discs and the price (but if you can afford a $4,000 TV you can probably afford a $400 player!)

Samsung has long been a favorite of mine for audio/visual equipment. While I have yet to upgrade to a 4K television, even without using this feature, the player works great. My Blu-rays, and even my DVDs look richer when played on this player. I bought the player on sale for $100 off, so it was less than $250; a GREAT bargain for a superior player. Can't wait to try the 4K experience when I upgrade next year.

I bought this item as a Black Friday purchase. I read reviews before I bought it and I am a strong believer in Samsung. A lot of reviews said the remote is small. It is small, but I have seen worse. It was easy to set up and the quality of the sound and video is outstanding. I couldn't get the player connected to the LAN but it easily connected to the WIFI. I did not notice any deficiency by going WiFI instead of LAN.

The quality it delivers in picture is true 4K when 4K Blue Rays are played. Content from apps too are of high quality. This is the best player in market for 4K AV receivers and 4K TVs.

After waiting for quite a while for this Ultra Blu-ray player to be available again I hoped right on it and ordered it online. It arrived 3 days later. It was very easy to set up. The onscreen menus walked me through everything. We then put in The Martian which we had purchased a few days earlier. We were absolutely blown away. The picture was so crisp and clear it made you feel as though everything was actually happening right in front of you. We have an LG OLED tv.

The unit itself is simple to use. Video is really nice. The remote is a bit too small and could use more features. The setup for non Samsung UHD TV's is not intuitive and took trial and error before it would show a 4K movie on my Vizio 2014 P series TV. The included apps are OK, but getting the sub-menu to edit/delete to come up using the long press <OK> entry on the remote is spotty at best, which is due to the remote keys.

It was a significant price drop on this item, so I took it for my UHD tv. It is easy to install, it takes only a few minute, and ready to use. The picture quality is excellent, the navigation in the menu is very easy. It recognizes very quickly the blu-ray disks, it takes only a few second to start to play them. I'm happy with it.

The 4K player is nice, it makes everything seem a lot clearer when you watch movies,also when you use the other parts like ,Hulu,you tube ,etc. A nice purchase ,but a little pricy

The ease of use and picture quality as well as the multi-format make this an amazing product.
