This 4K Ultra HD WI-FI Blue Ray Player Supper nice. When it comes to watching a movie there is no player I found that is as ausom as this player. One of the other things I like is I can watch Netflix using this player. If you have a 4K TV this player is the only way to go. It will play the 4K blue ray and regler blue ray and you DVD . You will have a great picture.I just love this unit.

I had originally bought a Sony 4K upscaling. It was good til it went bad within 3 weeks. I upgraded to the Samsung 4K unit. It is great. Yes it is a little larger but not larger the last DVD players. So no big deal for me. The only thing is the remote is so small to handle and you can't see it in the dark. Again no big deal as we have a Harmony remote. All good. A bit on the costly side but with the sale price and a BB credit for the Sony. No big deal. I'd recommend it.

This DVD player runs rings around its predecessor, also made by the same manufacturer. I tried the new screen with the old DVD player, and the colors were washed out. Plus everything looked like a soap opera. This player corrected all that. Very good. A little expensive, but worth the price. I'm not sure all the frills are worth it though (installation, extended warranty, etc.).

4K streaming is great but a picture still seems better when played directly off a 4K disc IMO. I've had this player for over 3 months now and we are very happy with it. Some reviews complained about the size of the remote, I don't see the issue. It has all the necessary controls, the material is solid and buttons are easy to read and use. No regrets and I'd buy it again.

Great picture quality, easy to install and use. The remote is not backlit.

We are a Samsung family, and this model has taken our entertainment to new heights. The smart screen is easy to use, apps applenty to customize your viewing pleasure. Bottom line I am amazed with what this player can do, the quality and ease of operation makes my day. The K8500 is worth every penny.

I needed a new Blu-ray player. The picture is much improved compared to the older model. The remote could be better but all in all I am happy with the purchase.

The video optics which was the reason for purchase give my personal videos the professional look which I needed. There were two negatives. When I tried to connect to my home network, it would not do it. I put in my code four times to no avail. The keyboard that came up was superior to the Sony's for their 4KTV, because the Samsung 8500 had caps lock, but the Network Code still did not get accepted Upon communication with Samsung, they said that my firewall was probably too high and that my signal should be changed. On a $400-$500 unit, this should have been designed without the consumer having to jump through hoops. Without the network connections, I got less than I paid for. I would appreciate either a better out of the box experience, or a customer service rep that had a better solution. Could they e-mail me the better solution? The other negative brought my rating down another notch. The fast forward and reverse buttons on the remote are not functional. This means that I have to keep going back to the beginning, if I want to alternate my places on a disc. Very irritating. While the main function was well done, the missing fast forward and reverse button on the bargain basement remote and the lack of access to the Network, which reduces the functions that were a great feature unrealized damage what would have been a 5 star review.

If you need a DVD, Blue Ray or 4k player then look no farther, this one has been solid for almost a year now (that's how long I've owned it).

I was lucky enough to find this on sale for $199. The Samsung products I have had in the past have always been good. This is no exception as it links in to my Samsung tv when I turn it on and back to the original input when shut off. The quality of the picture is great and upscale picture is crisp. The only cons are the remote is too small and isn't backlit and there is no display on the front. Other than those 2 items I am very pleased with the 4K player.

Wanted to get my dad something nice for his birthday, this way he's set up for the future whenever he decides to get a better tv and stuff. Haven't used it too much yet, but so far it's easy to use. The remote in it is kind of bad, but I didn't expect much anyway. Buttons don't always work. Manual was really helpful in setting it up. Everything else about it seems great.

Great player. Everything is so simple to setup and use. Only thing short is that their built-in "BD-Wise" feature which optimizes Blu-ray playback only works with Samsung TVs. But since I'm using it with an OLED tv, didn't notice any differences. I highly recommend using it to get true 4k views.

The Samsung 4K player has a great picture. I use it with my Samsung 4K HDR tv. The only issue is you can't fast forward but you can skip screens. Worth $400

Nice 4K Blu-Ray player. Decent apps available. I have had no issues with this whatsoever. However, I have had limited use and not have tried all the features or apps that are available.

Samsung was the only machine available when 4k movies first came out, but now there are other high end more expensive machines like the Panasonic which is 700.00 and supposed to have the best 4k picture and Sony's coming out later this year, but the Samsung does the job great on 4k movies. Pictures are colorful and pop out and the dark scenes are clear not grainy.

I got this player on a open box deal. For the original price you are better off getting an Xbox oneS even if you are not a gamer. I already did this once. I was in need of a second 4k player. I came accross this as an open box deal. I paid $199. It is very simple to use and works flawlessly. I highly recommend this player if you can get it at the right price!

BestBuy staff were very helpful in explaining differences in models. Glad they were there to help. Good instructions came with the unit. Easy to setup. Be sure you get or have an HDMI cable. Great picture! Controls on the unit are visible from the front (others have them on the top) We have a 2017 Samsung TV and it automatically linked to it. Happy we got it.
