Great picture quality with the HDR, excellent upscaling capability but the streaming stuff is slow to load. If you are looking for a streaming device I'd suggest buying something else.

This DVD player is good if you have a 4k tv and a non 4k receiver. You can send the picture from the dvd player to the tv and the sound to the receiver. Just note that you need a 4k HDMI cable from the dvd to the tv. Then just a HDMI non 4k cable to the receiver. This is a good option if you do not wish to upgrade your receiver to 4k. If later, you upgrade the receiver to 4k then this dvd play can accommodate this option.

This first gen 4k player is a winner-it loads disks fast, and has been glitch free. Its way better then the first gen blu ray players when they first came out nearly a decade ago. I highly recommend this product to anyone who has a 4k uhd tv..

I waited 6 months for the price to come down and bought after Thanksgiving for $200. It is everything I expected. Online reviews whined about the remote. It is just fine. Exceptional picture clarity on travelogues and 4k DVD's. Does not always save so you can resume a DVD, but that is small stuff. Great product to use with my 65" curved screen 4k capable Samsung TV. Next will be a sound bar upgrade to better than I have.

I am very pleased with the effort Samsung put into this 4K player. It's very realistic and super crisp in detail. The most impressive part for me is the 4K up scaling. It makes older movies take on a completely new look. Thanks for your work.

A great 4K player --- and the up conversion on Blu-rays and DVDs is incredible!! --- but I don't like the fast-forward/rewind mechanics.

The 4k bluray player is an outstanding purchase. The player is easy to setup on a Samsung TV. The picture is absolutely the amazing!

This device plays everything with the best quality possible. The salesman was so helpful in explaining the technology. There is so much data on your disc a normal player does not use. A must have if you need a new player even without 4K tv.

player has performed perfectly.. like the touch buttons on the unit (no press required) kind of cool.. nice that it has a usb port on front.. wireless works great.. the only knock on it I can think of is the up conversion of discs (DVD or blu-ray) doesn't seem as effective with our 4k TV compared to our older player with a 1080p TV.. May be the TV and not the player; not sure.. I will say that 4k discs play and display perfectly, but I'm just questioning the up conversion capability of this player.. One other negative is the size of the remote.. too tiny and can't see buttons in a dark room.. but performance for price, it's a great player overall..

If you have a 4K tv and the blu-Ray 4k you will not go to the theater to watch the movies again. The best picture and sound is the best ever

Its a great 4k bluray player. A little expensive but its always like that with new technology.

Good solid performer and quality. Only concern is a very small remote which has controls that can be confusing because it is so small

I didn't buy this unit because of the built-in wireless feature or because it was on sale for what I felt was a ridiculously low price. I selected it because it was made by Samsung - a brand I have grown to believe is superior to almost all others. I love the picture this device delivers in tandem with my Samsung Ultra HD 4K TV. Thank god I have friends that force me to come out and socialize with them, or I just might never leave my DVD & TV. The colors are amazing, the clarity is devine. Get one - you'll love it.

This Samsung is a great 4K player. The movies are extra crisp & crystal clear. Expectations were high and it did not disappoint.

Picture from blue ray was outstanding and crystal clear. Sound was also amazing. Player is very user friendly and quick set up.

There is very little competition for true 4K players, but this one has risen to the top value with the recent price drops. It took a little tweaking to get it set up with my Sony 75" 4k LCD, but nothing that would cause me to get frustrated. I have little use for the streaming services but I guess every device has them these days. I do wish manufacturers would offer better explanations of HDR since apparently that feature does not work well with edge lit LEDs. But despite that the player works and looks awesome!

Have been using this blu ray player for a few months. Easy to use and works seamlessly with tv and speakers. Good quality picture.

This player is the best DVD Player I have ever had, hands down. It does everything it says it does, but what I especially like is when paired with a Samsung 4K TV, you can play a regular HD title and it will attempt to upscale the video quality as close to 4K as it can get. It works well with the Samsung sound system and universal remote as well.
