I am very satisfied with this product. First time buying a blu-ray player and so far no complaints. very easy set up for a novice. now all I need is a 4K TV to enjoy all the benefits

After purchasing this Native 4K Blu-ray player, I was blown away by the clarity of the picture.

I have installed and used many consumer grade as well as upscale market Blue-Ray players. Normally I am not crazy about Samsung but I found no problems with this particular model. When paired with a high end display and playing one of the new BD 4K disks the picture and sound are outstanding. Streaming from Netflix or Amazon was really good even in 1080p. The upscaling to 4K did not produce visible artifacts.

Right now this is the only real UHD blu ray player on the market. It did the job, but it is a bit costly. I returned it and am waiting on a few more to come out over the next year or so.

I was on the fence for some time, and almost bought it a number of times when it was on sale for about half price over the holidays. After black friday though, the price went back up. I have a 4K TV, but don't have HDR. When the price went back down, I finally decided to pick it up. I'm glad I did. Even regular Blu-ray's look better, and I can stream all of the streaming apps I need (Amazon, Hulu, and Netflix).

I own over fifteen hundred Blu-ray discs this is the beginning of a new collection of 4k disc's. Watching 4k discs in my home theater is a great experience. I would recommend this.

Nice upscaling quality. Minimalistic remote, which is great in my opinion. Connected quite easily to my WiFi network. Had another brand Blu-ray that had crapped out. Went looking for the same brand at first. All of Brand X's Blu-rays felt light and flimsy as did most others. This one has some weight to it and feels like a sturdier build. Pairs up quite nicely with my Samsung 4K TV purchased the same day.

This set costs a little more than we wanted to pay, but we were not disappointed. You can view the picture from any angle and the picture is CLEAR and super. We have not been able to see TV as we see it now. There is no comparison between the older sets and this exceptional set. Well worth the price. You will not be disappointed>

Very good 4K Blu ray player, actually second one I purchased. First purchase was because I had 4K TV with no receiver in the bedroom setup, the 2nd purchase was because my Home Theater downstairs had a Denon Atmos Receiver but Panasonic 1080P 3D TV. The UBD 8500 4K player was easy to set up & performed well (No picture/interference problems)have had one 10 months & other 2mo. Main reason I purchased the UBD 8500(s) was the price, I could not see paying $350/$400 for a supposedly higher quality picture.

Watching movies in 4K with HDR is amazing!! Such an amazing picture! Samsung for the win!

Samsung 4k dvd player k-8500 has a great picture. Also for this product the pricing was great.

This unit is easy to set up and is easy to use. Looking forward to viewing 4K upscaling.

I purchased this based on the advice of the system designer. The price was great as they had an excellent sale going on. The associated TV, etc won't get installed until next week so I won't know until next month when it gets installed along with the TV how it works out but the reviews have been great. I'll let you know later.

This 4K player is fantastic. The 4K movies look amazing and Bluray disks up convert incredibly well.

I own a 65 inch Samsum 9000 series curb television. The Samsung 4K Blu-ray player is a must that picture quality is that the see it to believe it and facia Blu-rays and even upgrades those and if you're watching in3-D The picture really pops don't deny yourself the privilege of owning one of these players from SamsungIt may cost a little bit more but it's well worth it I would buy it again if sometime to this one.

I'm very happy with this purchase and price. Similar products were hundreds of dollars more but I purchased around Christmas time and got sale pricing. The nay sayers about this being a cheaply built piece of plastic were wrong. It feels solid, works well, easy set up, and has buttons!!!! ...instead on the touch junk. Sorry but that was a must for me that my previous machine was lacking. So far so good.

I had read about the Samsung UBD-K8500 4k Ultra HD Blu-ray player when it first came out at approx. $500 and the ratings said that it was completely worth the money. Now that it has come down in price, it is an ULTRA value with top notch performance and a fantastic addition to anyone's 4k home theater. 4k Blu-ray discs look astounding and even normal blu-rays looks noticeably better. Highly receommended!
