The remote control buttons are small and difficult to use, but the player itself is great. The picture looks almost 3d.

Lots of HDMI handshake issues, but awesome picture quality when it does work. Up scaling is Ok, but your TV may do a better job.

Hooked it up to my KS8000 65' with no problems at all and its looks great with 4K movie

We purchased this player to be ready for our 4K TV. Haven't used the 4K capability yet because we haven't gotten the TV yet but the Blu-ray plays GREAT.

I have purchased every make and model dvd players throughout the years Sony being my favorite. But this Samsung dvd 4k blu ray player is by far the best. My past experiences have been the delay waiting to load or waiting for the dang tray to open. This one is fast the picture is incredible I'm using the 65" Samsung 4k UHD Curve Tv. Loading the apps is also super fast.. You'll love this unit.

I wanted this player to complete my 4K/HDR theater. Resisted at first due to the lack of 4K movies available. However, that being said, I knew that I would eventually buy a 4K player. The remote is typical Samsung quality and lacks features. The lack of display and the on/off red power button is disappointing considering the cost. I wish that there was a more complete manual and understanding on how to set up the picture quality. I wish I had waited for more competition or a better price.

Simplistic to set up and update. The settings are easy and playback is flawless.

If your looking for the greatest 4K picture quality this is a must...

I like this blu-ray because it goes with the rest of my Samsung stuff. There is better out there that has a bit of a better 4K picture.

Provides a better picture (better color definition and deeper blacks) using 4k Blu-ray discs than the 4K HD movies that I have downloaded. My TV is a Samsung 9500 series.

Great picture and format upgrading. My old DVDs never looked so good. The only thing I didn't like was the tiny remote.

I have been extremely pleased... In addition to how little space it takes in my entertainment center, it offers a wide variety of options including access to other media like Netflix; very cool to do so much on one device that also provides an amazing visual experience in 4k and especially in 3d... I love it!!!!

In shopping for a player to accompany my new 4K TV with HDR, as of this writing, there are only three (four) players, including X-box. This is the least expensive. It was purchased because it was the least expensive. Stil expensive for a Blu-Ray player. Clunky modes, and complicated and hard to press remote buttons (small). And, it takes button batteries that are more expensive. Serves its purpose.

Who needs to go to the movies anymore?! Paired this 4K DVD player with a VizioSmartCast P-75 w HDR and a 9.1 Atmos surround sound system and I'm in audiovisual heaven!!

After having purchased cheap $100 4k units I knew I had to ante up for quality. Getting into tech means a learning experiance and frequently a costly one. This Samsung adds color depth and sharpness from recent blu rays. On Jurassic World the difference compared to my cheap 4k blu ray I used to have is astounding. Samsung has done very well and the K8500 is well worth ever dime.
