AFTER MUCH RESEARCH TO FIND A 4K ULTRA HD BLU RAY PLAYER WITH THE BEST REVIEWS I DECIDED ON THIS UNIT...I DIDN'T PLAN TO SPEND TOO MUCH BUT I LUCKED OUT AND FOUND THIS ON SALE AT BEST BUY AND WAS NOT DISAPPOINTED WITH IT'S PERFORMANCE,...AMAZING PICTURE !!

The player works great with my Samsung UHD TV. Picture is amazing. Wish the titles were a little cheaper. $29 for a movie is high.

If you own a 4K TV, then you owe it to yourself to support that purchase with the equipment that will allow the TV to perform to its peak. The K8500 does just that; don't short-change yourself.

I wanted a 4k blu ray player and this one did not disappoint!! I am. Ow always buying movies now haha the only draw back and the 4 stars is for the INTERFACE i think it could have been smoother since it is 2016 but other than that it is an awesome player!

This Samsung HDR offers very good output but is a little complicated to set up. The remote control is too small

With this being only one of a handful of 4k UHD AND HDR players on the market right now it does exactly what it is supposed to do and allows me to use my 4k UHD HDR Samsung 8000 to its full potential! I love this, plus it allows for Dolby Atmos and DTS-X!

I have purchased the DVV player a few ago so far I had a great experience. The quality and sound are good. The one thing I'm trying to figure out is the playback. When you stop watching the dvd and come back to it after some time, maybe tomorrow, it starts from the beginning. Other than that it looks fine to me.

The Samsung UBD-K8500 4K Ultra HD Smart Blu-ray Player is a very good player, it does what it should, loads fairly quickly, has good features, my only gripe is that the remote control is very small and someone with larger hands, its difficult to operate.

This 4K player is a great value for the money. Easy to set up, fast to start up and easily loaded with apps. My only complaint is when using this through a 4K comparable sound bar, the audio delay tuning capabilities are only adjustable in increments of 10ms. I can't get it spot on... it's either too late or too early.

I had purchased a 4K HD TV and wanted the full range it had to offer by also purchasing a compatible DVD player. The TV and DVD are both Samsung so the remotes work both units. The set-up was quick and easy and the picture is great. The DVD also receives Netflix and YouTube in 4K so I have a lot of things to watch in 4K HD

This is more than a typical Blu-Ray player, it is UHD and enhances DVD videos that were recorded prior to HD and UHD. Wonderful picture quality from all sources. In addition there are apps provided by Samsung and can stream videos from web sites.

There aren't too many affordable 4K Blu-ray players out there as this Samsung is pretty much it. It works as expected but there aren't any bells and whistles and the build quality is about on par with other mass market disc players. That said it does what you need it to do and that's play 4K discs with great quality.

I love this player, 4k blu rays look great and it is an excellent streaming device. any negative reviews are just from people being nitpicky and trying to look like professional reviewers. buy it

This gives you the wow factor! It's really nice and additional setting are easy to use. Upgrades Blu ray disc to near UHD. It can over saturate Blu ray content in HDR setting. But change Tv settings to sport or similar and you will not regret it.

I was a little set back by the price of this 4K blue ray player but I was also set back by the price of my first VHS player. But after watching it it is worth every penny. Great sound and picture
