The picture I get from the player is nice. I have been having problems with it showing no connection and going blank. Not sure if it is the player or my 4K TV. I don't like that when I put in a DVD to play a movie it goes to Multi Media mode. Not sure why it does this but like I said it it new and I am still learning.

Samsung has chosen to remove standard features that they use to offer in favor of getting more profits, gone now is the window display of information that the older units use to have, You receive a tiny remote that is useless if watching a movie in a dim to dark place . Keys on the remote are very small and do not light up. For a unit that retails 200.00 or more it looks like you get a cheap unit you would buy at a bargain house for cheep made DVD-Blue ray player, with only the added ability of playing UD discs, There are better units out there that have not cut back on features and offer a full size remote. I would recommend one to research better for their needs instead of just buying a "name"

Started buying the UHD videos since our TV is a 4K unit. Then realized that the Blu ray and our 15year old receiver wouldn't work well either so off to Best Buy I went. Once installed the difference was amazing it is clearer picture and just beautiful.

Samsung makes the set up easy and before you know it you are watching high definition 4K movies with crystal clear dolby surround sound. As of right now this is the best 4K player you can get.

I hooked this up to a matching Samsung 8500 4K curved TV and was overcome by the detail from my regular Blu-ray disks and DVDs. I expected the 4K material to look great but was delighted by the extraordinary picture from non 4K sources. A great player.

When I saw this player for under $200 I had to give it a shot and couldn't be happier. I have had no issues with playback and it looks great on my 65KS8000. No way coould I spend $500+ on a player for minimal gains when you can 2-3 of these instead.

This is really the only way to get the most out of your UHDTV. 4K Bluray with HDR looks amazing! Especially movies like Mad Max. But I was also impressed by the players upscaling of regular bluray disks. The only downside is the mechanical noise. Sometimes the player makes a odd whirring when playing some 4K disks.

The easy setup instructions for optimal picture quality by tv model make this easy to get the best picture from and the quality of the picture you get with a 4K tv and uhd movies is awesome

This 4k ultra player is one of the few with real 4k ultra capabilities. For now, it is also the cheapest to get on board, without spending a huge amount of money for a 4k ultra player. The other players are only "streaming" 4k, but not really 4k.

I held out (admittedly longer than most) on the Blu-ray upgrade for our home, so my opinion is based on comparison to DVD. However, it's a great player. The picture quality is phenominal. I am wondering about how sensitive it may be overtime, but that's a gut feeling, not based on experience with the player.

Only Con is its Remote where the UP Arrow key is too close to another key above it and so I end up 99% not getting the UP Arrow function since it always ends up two key presses simultaneously. Also couldn't validate if its wireless is operating at 802.11ac speed with my Apple Time Capsule which supports ac speed.

i just upgraded my TV so went a head and bout this 4K player for better DVD quality.

This blu ray player has fantastic picture and color . It compliments my 4K tv well.

What a shocker it was moving from a Blu-ray player to a 4K player! More vivid crystal clear colors and shapes were far more precise! I would definitely recommend this to anybody who enjoys action movies or movies with a lot of landscaping scenery.

Bought this to use with a new LG B6 OLED TV. Picture is outstanding, great detail and contrast. Revenant in 4K is awesome, realistic and totally engaging. Samsung's UBD- K8500 does it full justice, a fantastic player at a reasonable price in MHO.

Love the clarity of my 4K tv, now have the same clarity on 4K blu-Ray action movies

This Samsung 4k player does a great job. The output is crystal clear.

It plays 4k as expected as well as Blu-ray, dvd, and cd's. It has good menu software, smart features, etc. Connected to my home network it plays movies from my server and the software works faster then other players I've had before. Other then the $700 Panasonic there's not many other 4k players on the market.
