Love the player. Just having a hard time trying to figure out how to make some UHD Blue Rays play on full screen. instead of the black bars on top & bottom. in spite of this, great picture.

This is an upper mid-level blue ray player, matching the specs listed. If you don't have a smart TV, it can be connected to your network and used to access streaming services which you can then play through it onto your "not smart" TV. It does have Cinavia - the copy protection software, so you won't be playing any DVD's that are copies or that you have made from downloaded movies etc which contain this software. Most players these days contain such, and IMO this is a dis-service to those who have things they should legally be able to play. So much piracy these days, can't blame them... but it should clearly say so on the box and in the manual - and if it does, I didn't see it

This blu ray player was perfect for me. I have 4K blu rays and also 3D blu rays that I can view with this player. Also, the upscaling of DVDs works better than I thought. Must have player...

This was an outstanding purchase. I would recommend this product to anyone that is looking for a good Blu-ray player. Works great with my LG OLED curved television. True theater quality.

Like the picture a lot, but could not compare to standard bluray side by side. Smartview apps are nice and easy to use. Youtube movie previews look great. Not convinced it is worth the high cost for 4k, but we got it to use with future 4k discs

The Samsung works well as expected. My only negative is the size of the remote. It is one of the smallest I have seen with small buttons that are not always easy to use with large fingers.

This unit functions well and has a number of apps available however I'm not sure that I couldn't have gotten the same level of performance for less by purchasing a Phillips player. I would recommend this to a friend if the price comes down...

I only paid 200 for this player which was a great price. As far as I can tell the picture quality of all the 4k movies I've purchased only look slightly better than watching it on blu ray.

A friend suggested this DVD player for the 4K television...I read up on it and decided it was what I needed to advance with my new television

We have always had a multi disk DVD player before and this is the first Blue Ray player. I see no difference in the quality of the player and we are very satisfied with the equipment.

The player is simple and easy to set up and use. My 10 year old can operatvit as well as mom and dad. It works great with no glitches we have bought another one for a different room too.

Much better quality than regular Blu-ray but user interface is slow only negative

Bought this to go with my new 4K TV. Haven't watched a 4K movie yet but the player sure makes the HD movies look better. Haven't used all of the functionalities yet but look forward to.

Just watched Finding Dory on our new 4K Bluray Player. It does an awesome job upscaling the quality of normal bluray. We just love Samsung.

This is a great product except for the fact that it has NO FAST FOWARD on frame skip. but the color and clarity with the 4k tele is awesome.

Great picture, great quality exactly what you would expect from Samsung. Very happy I purchased this unit.

We have used this for Standard Definition up through 4KHD using the HDMI output to our 4KHD TV and it works very well. The picture quality and sound are great and the controls work well.

Just bought a 65" 4K LG curved OLED tv not realizing that I needed a 4K DVD player. Seeing that I have a lot of Samsung products already it was a no brainer to get the Samsung DVD player.

I bought a refurbished version of this product. Easy to set up. Great picture, easy interface. Connected right up to my Samsung smart TV and can be controlled with my smart remote.

My Samsung 4k tv and the Samsung k8500 married together without a hitch. Watched Avatar in just regular blu-ray. Colors and resolution were fantastic. Can't wait to view a good 4k movie.
