I had the 2014 version and upgraded to the 2015 with new software. The picture seems better and the remote is easier to use than the oval one. Good use of included apps.

resolved some flicking issues and app issues with my previous kit

I ran into an issue when I tried to run a new 4K disk and I got an error that my TV didn't support the UHD format. Its a SAMSUNG 60 " UHD 8550 Series TV, purchased in 2016. I remembered the Evolution Kit and started researching it online and figured this was what I needed. It worked no problems, the setup is easy and the picture is better. A little pricey for an upgrade to watch a 4K movie, but if you can afford it and want to do it, it works. It is cheaper than a new TV, but I think we will be upgrading primary entertainment TV like we did with PC's every 4 years because the technology is advancing rapidly and with falling prices it probably only pays to upgrade once during the product cycle.

I've had this unit for about a month. I can at least play 4K streaming to the display. It hasn't done anything wrong with the picture at least. It's labeled for a unit made in 2015. The latest units were from 2016. Whether that makes a difference I don't know. It is nice to have one cable to the display and all the rest go into evo kit. The way I look at is the evo kit replaces the displays version of said electronics. My display is a samsung UN65HU8550 FXZA nov 2014 BD player is Oppo BDP 95

Good upgrade for Netflix and Amazon streaming fairly easy install seems to run a lot faster with more memory. No buffering anymore.

Bought the EK mostly to get HDR with 4K from my PS4 Pro. There are also some HDR Netflix movies that work as well. Looks great! Very easy to set up. However, I knocked off one star because rarely, maybe once every 3 months of daily use, something causes all the SmartTV apps to stop working and I have to unplug the EK to reset everything. There's no power switch on the EK, so unplugging is the only way I've found to power it off.

Finally able to watch 4K content on my 55F9000 model tv. The tv browser is much improved as well. Easy to install.

Does allow u to play 4K discs from Samsung 4K players Xbox One S and One X along with other 4K players. No necessarily worth the $400 price tag

I have a 2014 curved 4K that wasn't the new hardware and software standards to make it compliant with my other hardware and unfortunately was unable to watch 4K anymore but this fixed that without having to buy a new tv. This also improved the picture and made it possible for me to watch 4K again. Price is a little high but way cheaper than a new tv. I would highly recommend.

This kit is a awsome upgrade for thoughts who can upgrade to this only sorta in model tv can use this is have the UN55HU 8550FXZA and I have hdr and hecp witch allows 4k movie stream pass through. So really if u can use this with your TV it's worth the upgrade. It's improved my picture quality and by the way I'm using a custom pc with all this and it's awsome adjusting everything takes just a little time but overall a very good product. My tv is like a new TV again.

Update when you plug it in takes awhile to do. HDR looks great on my 8550 model tv.

Amazingly, my movies and Netflix looks way better than it did out of the box. Setting it up was no problem and enjoying the videos and live TV is better than ever!!

Bought the two sets for Hu series 8500 and 9000. Works well, as expected: faster, new menus. The downside is the new remote control which is not as convenient as the older model originally supplied with the TVs

I installed it as per the you tube video it is great I have an hu8550 better picture quality. Samsung is not making one for 2016. You need to get it now.

Would have given this 5 stars but I have to reset the system every couple of weeks. There are times it is slow to respond to the remote. The picture it helps produce is amazing. Worth buying for that reason alone. It really makes the 4k pop.

I purchased this kit for my husband, now he has HDR without spending another $3,000 for a new TV! He couldn't be happier!

I must say I was skeptical!!! Then I Read a bunch of reviews and decided to check it out! I was pleasantly surprised to find out how much better the picture looked! Better color, clearer picture and no more Halo effect! Absolutely amazing! Plus now I can actually watch YouTube in 4k!! And it does add 40% of HDR!!!!

Saved me from buying a new TV for my 4K movies. The picture is everything I expected.

This is a really good upgrade to my 2014 4k samsung tv. It adds hdr to the tv! My only problem with the kit is trying to hook my ps4 up to it. It is laggy when its hooked up to the evolution kit so you have to unhook the evolution kit cable when you want to play ps4.
