If you have a '13 or '14 year Samsung HU model, get this OCB, it gives you basically a JS '15 model. PQ alone, as well as semi HDR makes this $400 unit worth the $teep price.

Brought my current stance on TV to HDR I bought a Samsung TV about three years ago and now with all the upgrades I didn't have to buy a new one with the skit I think it's very much worth it

After all the 'additional devices' I wound up having to add to my 4K system...it finally works. Please check all the additional devices you need to get your 4k system actually working B/4 you buy a 4K TV. The Evolution works well.

This unit upgrades the 2014 and 2015 Samsung TVs to support HDR and other features. It works well and provides a bridge to eventual full upgrades of a TV to the current standards such as HDR+ and Dolby Vision.

This product updated my tv so all inputs are now 4k.

Found out after I bought the new Samsung 4k blu-ray player my tv could not do HDR. Bought it, followed the instructions and I'm up and running.

The picture quality was night and day different as soon as I installed this Evolution kit on my 65HU9000. I would highly recommend this as it is needed to be able to playback HDCP 2.2, HDMI 2.0 connected 4k Players .

Bought the sek-3500 to add to my HU9000 and it works as advertised. HDR from Amazon Prime and 4K blu rays look outstanding.

Bought this open item to save some money. I did save, but it wasn't without some tradeoffs. 1/ It must have been a return, because once installed, Netflix was an active account for a previous user. Had to delete it, and sign in as myself! 2/ Before installing, I did the backup in the setup section of the TV menu, but not all settings translate to the SEK3500. Recommend taking photos or writings your picture settings down as a starting point - as, you'll want a different setup anyway. 3/ For some reason, the (my) SEK is flaky about saving HDMI picture settings. I'd get everything set for my devices, but, it will randomly revert back to default settings for Backlight and Contrast. Waaay too bright. Did some cable changes and tried various methods of making and saving changes, and it seems to be holding. /4 Once everything finally settled into working correctly, the picture is very good. Can now stream and play 4k movies on my XBox One S. The picture was great before, but the 4k brings subtle clarity and color depth. I am still trying to figure out a way to reduce motion judder (beyond settings menu). Some fast action "feels" like frames are skipped, or there is tearing of the picture. Could be streaming issues (30mbps hasn't had buffering with 4k, however). Bottom line - savings was worth it - all paperwork and cables were included in the box. I had two weeks to return it had I wanted to, but I wouldn't of had the original TV setup to return to - food for thought.

For 399.00 this box upgraded my 2014 Samsung TV...picture quality much improved; more 4K options; XBOX 4K options now work. Worth the upgrade to get the actual 4K technology to work...:/

For me this wasn't worth the $ on my UN65F9000. I had already purchased an earlier evo kit that greatly enhanced my set and I was hoping for the same here. Picture quality is about the same and I'm missing the older remote, but I'm getting used to it...

Fast easy set up wifi and apps load up fast uhd color on all inputs

Picture looks a little better. Overall, I think it's getting harder to justify value vs price with Samsung products. Just my opinion.

I have a 78” curved TV UN78HU9000F and this upgrade took me from 4K SDR to 4K HDR and a big difference in the clarity! I recommend this upgrade!

The Samsung UHD Evolution Kit was easy to install and even the HD pictures looked quite noticeably upgraded with better picture definition.

Everything I expected, easy setup and allows you to simply upgrade your tv without buying a new one.

If you own the HU, S9 or F9000, and the 2015 JS model TVs, your lucky. Those were the few models that support the Evolution kit. This kit is the brains of your TV to include the processors, inputs, software, etc. As the years and technology evolve, Samsung will update this box or release a new box with updated hardware. The is the 2015 kit. Per Samsung, there will not be 2016 kit so this is as high as you can get with evolution kits as of now.

so far improved my picture as good as or better then the darbee I had and did I mention real 4k

Bought my Samsung 4K TV in Nov 2014. Was told it was future proof. Then a few months ago I noticed the apps on my Smart TV were slow to load. I thought it was an issue with the TV. Turned out it was because I needed to upgrade to this kit and since buying it the TV works great again. The TV started up fast in the past but now it's instant. Highly recommended. Much better than paying another $4,500 plus when this is only $400.
