Pro: Very quiet.
Cons: When I first started using this dishwasher I kept getting a error saying it had too much ions (or something like that) in it and wouldn't run. I poured water in the bottom and then it finally ran, this happened 4-5 times before it quit getting the error. It doesn't wash as well at my old cheap dishwasher, I think the water wall doesn't use as much force as a dishwasher blowing water through smaller holes. I'm also not able to load as many dishes in this as I was my old dishwasher so I have to run this more often.

We recently purchased a Samsung TV, Refrigerator and bought a dishwasher along with it, simply because we wanted the stainless steel of the kitchen appliances to match. I am very happy with the TV and French door refrigerator. The 2 good things about this waterwall dishwasher is..it has free installation and it's unbelievably quiet. I did read a lot of complaints about the door not latching in this model, even before I bought it, but I went ahead with this purchase, because I love Samsung products. It has been full of only problems the one month I had it. The water doesn't drain, or it floods the kitchen floor, the next day it works properly, the day after that..it doesn't drain again. It stops mid cycle. I called the repairman, the day he came to take a look ,it worked fine. The next day when I turned it on, it didn't drain again. I had enough, the 3-4 weeks I had it. The repairman also advised me that Samsung dishwashers are the ones having the maximum problems and it was not worth the trouble, if I could get it exchanged. Best buy was reasonable and quick to exchange, and I now have a Whirlpool dishwasher that I am very happy with, no problems.

Had high hopes, but very disapointed!

Had very high hopes for the dish washer. Install went great. Very quiet machine, could hardly tell it was running. About the 3rd or 4th use, the door was having trouble latching and runs would be interrupted. Now it wont latch at all. Called Best Buy repair, said they would have a service center contact me. They did advising me that in order to not void the contract, Samsung needed to be contacted for repair. At that point and from I saw about Samsung customer service, I decided to go and return the item. The rating is based solely on the dishwasher and not Best Buy. I walked into Best Buy and told them the story. They said go pick out another one. I did, they scheduled the delivery and install at no charge and credited me the difference for a BOSCH. I wish this wasnt the case as I had high hopes. Maybe it was a bad batch of latches as there have been multiple reviews since we purchased with the same issues. Best Buy did the right thing and that is why I shop with them.

Won't Stay Closed

I've already had Geek Squad out three times already, and I'm ready to return it. The unit runs extremely quiet, and does an amazing job cleaning the dishes, but the seal is not great on the unit causing steam to escape and cause condensation all over. Now after the most recent repair and re-installation, the door wont stay latched so the cycle keeps stopping. We took a risk with this new technology, and it's not paying off.

Avoid this dishwasher

If there were a zero star rating, this dishwasher would receive it.
Best Buy installed this dishwasher 3 months ago, and between the installation date and now, the dishwasher may have worked properly for 3 of those weeks. The problem - the dishwasher door opens mid-cycle. Dishwasher technicians visit our house about every two weeks on average. The various technicians have informed us that Samsung has an extensive bulletin on this particular problem, so Samsung is aware there is a design fault. We have the Geek squad extended warranty, but Best Buy told us to contact Samsung because the dishwasher is currently under the manufacturer's warranty. Samsung informs us that they will review our case within 2-5 business days, but they have managed to stall any decision for 6 weeks, and we are still waiting.
Warning: Best Buy and Samsung informed us that under their warranty terms, if there is not a 30-day period between technician visits, the visits are considered rework of the original work order, i.e., the problem is deemed to have only occurred once if there is not a 30-day window between visits, even if the problem is not resolved throughout the life of the warranty.
I would definitely not recommend this product.

Buyer Beware

DO NOT BUY!!! We bought it this 7 months ago. It shuts off randomly and won't finish a cycle and has since we got it. We have had a repairman out 5 x for the same issue. Now it just turns on by itself and a heat error code comes on. I had to shut it off completely. Samsung has been impossible to deal with. I have now had it for 7 months and Samsung said it's "Under Review" to decide IF they will take it back and refund my money. I spoke with a very nice sales person from the store where I bought it who tried to help me. After being on the phone for ridiculous amount of time (which I have now done many times for this issue), he said Samsung is considering a refund or replacing it. Really? There is NO way I want another Samsung dishwasher. The product that never worked, "the repairs", the frustratingly, time consuming customer service run around - no way! So if you read reviews to help make decisions - run, do not walk away from this product. I wish I had done more research before I bought this product. Live and learn.

I was excited when we received the new dishwasher. Operated fine without a problem. Tried all cycles with different options to see what works best for us and we liked the normal. What takes getting use to is the cycle time, each option you select adds 20-30 minutes. The total time for our normal cycle with options selected comes to 3 hrs 40 mins. 34 days pass since install and the problems begin, Error Code "LE" appears to be a common error with SAMSUNG. Dealing with service techs now. The dishwasher is a first of it kinds and the first generation, along with SAMSUNG's bad repair record should have told me to stay away or wait.

I bought this from a BB which was getting rid of excess inventory without much prior review. Upon coming back and reading these reviews I was fearing the worst with the dishwasher. However it's help up well so far to the daily or sometimes twice daily wash cycles. The dishes have always come out clean and its REALLY quiet!
The one complaint I did have was about the outside getting smudgy very quickly since we have small kids but that's a minor inconvenience. Make sure you clean the insides regularly...such as the filter at the bottom and also the whole tub using Affresh or similar and it works great.

I was quite excited to order the Samsung Waterwall dishwasher for my wife as an anniversary gift. I thought she would appreciate the new technology, while I was impressed with all the marketing that was put out on the new Waterwall technology. So I bundled up all my Reward Certificates and bought one. So what if there were only about 3 reviews? It can get lonely on the cutting edge of technology.
I was excited when our smelly 8 year old Jenn-Air was taken away and ready to revel in the affections of my wife for a job well done. But, as it typical in married life....that didn't happen. The complaints started right away. From dishes coming out dirtier than when they went in, to everything being wet even after running it overnight.... The wife wasn't happy. It all came to head overnight when we typically run our dishwasher, there was a loud noise and upon stepping into our kitchen I noticed the new Sammy with it's door wide open and a wonderful puddle of water. It must have been a fluke right? Nope happened again the next night too, after which point, to save both my sanity and my marriage, I bid adieu to the Samsung. Bravo to Best Buy for having an excellent return policy and trying to make things right. This time, I let the wife choose and we got a Bosch, which has turned out to be a great dishwasher.
TL:DR version:
Pro - Quiet, Nice Silverware Baskets
Con - Leaks, Door opens for no reason, Doesn't clean well, may increase chances of divorce
Sum - Too expensive for how poor it performs. Save some money and get something else.

Dear Macros,
I'm very sorry to hear about your experience, but happy to hear you're pleased with your new dishwasher.
It may interest others reading this to know that there are actually some solutions to correct the issues you experienced, all of which can be found in the Support section of Samsung's website. For example, the dishes not coming out clean may be the result of clogged spray nozzles which are easy to clean, or it may be correctable by raising the incoming water temperature, selecting a different wash cycle, or loading the dishes differently. The WaterWall technology that's featured in the DW80H9930US also enables the targeted Zone Boost option to help direct the most powerful cleaning where you need it.
The issue with the door not staying closed may have been caused by a misalignment in the middle rack. If both sides of the rack aren't locked into the same position - either the upper or lower setting - then it may not push in all the way, which could result in the door not closing securely. Finally, the Fan-assisted Condensation Drying performance relies on the residual heat on the dishes to evaporate the water, and can be maximized by using a rinse aid, selecting Sanitize and keeping the door closed while dishes are drying.
Again, I'm sorry that we weren't able to resolve these issues for you while you still had the DW80H9930US, but wish you continued happiness with your new dishwasher.
- Ms. Samsung

ABOUT THIS PRODUCT, I WAS SCARED!! HOWEVER SINCE I HAVE NOTHING BUT SAMSUNG PRODUCTS THROUGHOUT MY ENTIRE HOME, I DECIDED TO GO AGAINST THE GRAIN OF NEGATIVE REVIEWS AND IM GLAD I DID!!! THE ONLY KNOCK ON THIS MACHINE IS THE KNOCK ON ALL SAMSUNG DISHWASHERS..THEY DONT DRY WELL. IF YOU USE A RINSE AID AS INSTRUCTED, YOU WILL BE PLEASANTLY SURPRISED!!! THIS DISHWASHER IS AS ADVERTISED!!! QUIET AND CLEANS VERY WELL!!! ~TEAM TIZ

Read the review blogs for this product. I wish that I had before I bought this junk. Blog after blog lists the same problem I have - the door does not seal and leaks resulting in the dreaded "LE" error message. I'm now on my second unit with the same old LE problem. Save yourself the heartache and hours on the phone. Samsung customer support? Write a note, put it in a bottle, throw it in the ocean.

Dear Floyd,
I'm sorry to hear you're having an issue with your WaterWall Dishwasher. Please note that what you're describing can probably be resolved by checking the middle rack to make sure it's closing completely and is properly aligned. If the middle rack doesn't lock into place in either the upper or lower position, it can prevent the door from closing properly. If the LE error returns after following these suggestions, please submit a service request through Samsung's website.
Thank you, Ms. Samsung

I bought this dishwasher along with other Samsung appliances and this is my "worst buy". This Box is not working as it was shown in demo, It is leaking, not drying properly and yesterday it was running for 3 hours and started beeping and not stopping , we called support and they asked us to switch off main switch . we requested service from Geek Squad and they don't have any appointment for next 2 weeks, I've 5 year protection plan and I was told I'll get service in 24 hours. They failed to provide service in 24 hours. After escalation they're scheduling 3rd party to have a look at it and they are scheduled after 3 days. We also called Samsung to get help and they told us somebody will call us in 24 hours, they also failed to call us back. Appliance is down right now and I'm doing dishes with my hand.Worst product, worst service from Geek Squad and Samsung . In Brief "Worst Buy".

I had a Samsung dishwasher at my previous house and was excited to replace the builder grade dishwasher with this one. I should have kept the builder grade one! From the beginning, this dishwasher has had issues. It either doesn't dry dishes or gets so hot, it melts plastic bowls on the top rack that have withstood drying in my previous model and the door is hard to shut. One day, I started smelling a foul odor and noticed the light was blinking, the unit was acting as if it wanted to drain water, and LE was on the display. We had to flip the breaker to get it to shut off. LE is suppose to indicate a leak but there wasn't any. A tech came out and replaced several parts, not knowing which one was the cause for the LE code. He confirmed no water had leaked. He said the melting plastic was because this dishwasher is more advanced than most and gets hotter (huh??) and that the door issue was due to me not fully pushing the middle rack all the way in. Then he had problems closing the door and told me is was due to it being new and stiff. Again, huh?? He said the smell may have been due to the motor "getting ready to overheat". I don't find that comforting at all! I've read several reviews citing this same issue and various other problems so I think I'll get my money back and look at something else.

The dishwasher states to have a "fan condensing drying system" to ensure the dishes are dry and ready to use, this is misleading at the least. Once the cycle is done, even if you use rinse aid and their Dry+ feature as recommended, the dishes are still wet. One would expect this only after realizing that their fan condensing system is nothing more than a fan that tries to blow off the condensed steam and water droplets from the place settings, there is not a heating element in this unit to dry the dish ware. Samsung also states in their user manual that if you don't plan on unloading the place settings soon after the wash you should open the door to allow any residual water to evaporate. Sounds easy enough however after adding options to the run cycle like sanitize, or their recommended dry+, the wash cycle can take upwards of 3 hours to complete, I can't think many people would wait around that long to open the dishwasher door. Lastly, in less than two weeks the dishwasher displayed an error message for internal leak, code LE. Needless to say the dishwasher has been returned, I like the washing concept of this unit but it needs more engineering and design review.
