First off I'm a big fan of Akira Kurosawa's Seven Samurai and this anime stayed fairly true to the original plot, obviously they added side stories to extend it to 26 episodes. I love how they used future tech within a very rustic world and pulled it off perfectly. The animation is fantastic, with the cg blending perfectly, and the musical score sounds great, but it's the characters that make this anime a must have. You get to know every character, their personal stories aren't elaborated on much but their actions and characteristics define their personalities on a relateable level. So to sum up, the story is great, animation is awesome, and this is a must have for anime lovers and samurai story fans alike.

This series is by far one of the best I've seen. This easily ranks among my top 5 anime series. From my understanding the story is from Akira Kurosawa's "Seven Samurai" movie that he did a long time ago. I never knew it at the time. I picked this series up on a whim because it had samurai's in it and it was an anime. To my surprise the story is awesome. Everything in this show is awesome. I couldn't stop watching! Anyways you should pick this up for yourself. You won't be disappointed.

I love this anime series. The plot is so amazing, it draws you in from the very beginning. The cinamatography is stunning, the animation is brilliant. The actors are outstanding, they really draw you in and make you care about the characters. This has some comedy, drama, lots of action...it really has something for everyone in it. I laughed and cried throughout the series. Absolutly amazing anime series!!!! Buy it!!!!

I loved this anime. Up on my top 10 list. An amazing plot with some really unique characters. My favorite being Kikucho who is a steam powered robot guy. The CG scenes are also fantastic. The first episode starts off with some crazy action! I would recommend this to any anime fan. Truly a classic!

Based on the seven samurai movie (also based on this is the magnificent seven) it is a great show with great acting,animation,and story. The 3d visuals mixed in are amazing!

This set is great. The entire collection for less then 40$. This series is a must for any die hard fan of the samurai genra.

I really liked this series and would recommend it to anyone that is interested in anime.
