This is a great set. The cover art is spectacular and it contains all the movies;Trust, Betrayal, Reflection, and The Motion Picture. The movies show the beginning of the Samurai X TV series. Trust and Betrayal are more of a drama than an action, though the action scenes are wonderful. Reflection is the best movie of the bunch in my opinion. Where Trust and Betrayal show you the beginning of the story, Reflection shows you the end of everything. It is more action oriented than the first two movies. I love these DVDs and I absolutely love the cover art.
The only reason I gave a 4 star rating is because it contains the directors cut and the original release of Trust and Betrayal DVDs. It just bothers me because why would you need two copies of the same movie in the same box set. It's redundant but if you are a very particular collector then you may have an appreciation for it.
As for The Motion Picture, that one is actually supposed to take place during the TV series and it has no connection to the three other movies other than the main storyline and characters. It's not my favorite, it compliments the TV series but is not a necessity.
I highly recommend this beautiful box set for those who appreciate the TV series.
I would recommend this to a friend

My first and favorite anime

This was one of the first anime's I ever watched, back in the day when VHS was the dominant media format. It was and will always be my absolute favorite show. The animation (character movements and stuff) is excellent, although the picture quality is a bit lacking. I'd give more info but I'd probably be getting into the actual story (giving away the plot and such) so I'll stop here.
