Enjoyed Season 2 and Season 3 did not disappoint. This is the longest season in time length and the most expensive one. Good for fans of the supernatural. Excited for Season 4.

Sanctuary is a series that's a mix of scifi and monster movie with a dose of the X-files tossed in. In an universe that looks a lot like ours, but is populated with mermaids, lizard people and the occasional vampire, Amanda Tapping – of Stargate fame – plays Helen Magnus, a 160+ year old woman who's devoted her life to studying the world's 'oddities'. Sometimes protecting the monsters from the rest of the world, other times stopping said monsters from hurting others. Magnus' team is comprised of Will Zimmerman, a psychologist and ex-FBI profiler, Kate Freelander, a bad girl gone good and Henry Foss, a werewolf who's also a technological genius. Adding to the quirkiness of the show, Bigfoot is Helen's butler and she's, over the decades, rubbed elbows with an endless assortment of history's figures, including having once dated Jack the Ripper. Season three is the first twenty episode season for the show and, to me, the show itself shows the stress. I found many episodes to be enjoyable, but others were decidedly not to my taste. I think it is very much a 'your mileage may vary' moment with some of them. But even with the episodes I didn't like there were plenty that I did. The set is a 6 disc set with the 6th disc being entirely made up of specials: Visual effects Season 3 Amanda Tapping directs One Night Hollow Earth Damian Kindler: In the Director's Chair The music of Sanctuary Behind the Scenes, Normandy Sanctuary for Kids Character Profile, Nikola Tesla Bloopers/Outtakes Deleted Scenes There are also audio commentaries on some of the episodes Kali III, Animus, Breach, Hollow Men, Metamorphosis, Normandy, and Out of the Blue. My biggest issue is with the packaging. The DVDs are nested on top of each other, for example you have to remove #1 to watch #2. I much rather prefer individual clamshells so I don't have to handle any more discs than I have to to watch them.

Even though it's the third season the show is still going strong. Like the episodes that are off the main story line.
