It took Dell a long time to fix the problem. I consulted ChatGPT and fix the SSD's problem without returning it to BestBuy.

Defective performance

I worked with SanDisk support, ran benchmarks they recommended and though 1 ran good, the benchmark using the USB C to USB C ran extremely slow using 2 different PCs and 2 different cables. When running my backup program or the copy utility, the SSD ran more than twice as long as running them to an HDD. BestBuy took the device back and refunded my money.
