    The life span of an SSD is mainly determined by the underlying technology, such as SLC, MLC, TLC, and 3D NAND technologies. SLC has very high life span and are used by data centers. MLC has roughly 3-4 times of life span than TLC. 3D-NAND’s life span is similar to MLC. This Sandisk Plus uses MLC, which is better than Sandisk Ultra II. The performance of Sandisk Plus and Ultra II are similar. So, it is a good buy. But the current price on BestBuy.com is a bit on the high side, may not be worth it.

    My computer boots up extremely quick now and works like new. I switched to this feom having a 7200 rpm mechanical drive and the difference is insane.

    This is for a hobbyist who already has parts. No hardware included. Works just fine. Of course it is quicker than an H.D. If you need cloning software there are plenty of free ones online. I did not in this case.

    Just the drive, does not have anything else. That is just what I wanted. If you need other bits then do more research. Used Free Macrium to clone the old drive. Already had an OS SSD this is to replace the main HD.
