I've use Sandisk players for a good number of years, so when it was time to get something for my son to use, it was a no-brainer. This Clip is nearly non-existent weight-wise, but it packs a powerful sound and plenty of storage. This should keep my son busy all summer and help him push through on the days he has to walk to/from school.

I was wary about buying this mp3 player at first because I'm a big Apple user. However, my iPhone just doesn't have enough space for my apps and my music, so one of them had to go. I picked this player up while on sale and it fits an incredible amount of songs on just 8gb, not to mention the microSD slot, where I stuck a 32gb card, essentially allowing me to include nearly every album I've ever wanted to listen to and take it with me. For those who can only use screen touch controls and chicklet based navigation found on iPhone/iPod/iPad type devices, this might be difficult for you to use, but after a day of fiddling with it, it's very natural for me to navigate through thousands of artists, albums, songs, and playlists (which can be created on the fly within the device). It's also easier to copy over the songs I want as compared to the hit-and-miss option I often get in iTunes. Plus, if I lose this player or break it (unlikely), I'm only out $36, not $150. It's worth trying if you're not technologically challenged. And it's great if you want to give an mp3 player to a kid who is prone to losing or breaking such things.

I really like this item. It is compact, lightweight and the sound quality is great. I am not using the stock ear buds, but have noticed they do have improved fit and sound quality compared with previous versions. Copying songs from your computer to the Clip is very easy - no additional software required; just drag and drop and the songs are copied over. I also have a Fuze that has lasted a good 6 or 7 years without any issues, which I now use at work. I believe these products are an inexpensive alternative to higher priced products that are out there, so if you're not too concerned about having to have a more popular name on your player, this is definitely the way to go.

This is the perfect size also having a built in clip makes it easy to wear while at the gym or going for a run. Battery life is really good! Also being able to drag and drop my music over and not having to deal with iTunes or Windows is soooooooooo nice!

I bought this after my other player bit the dust. This one has an amazing battery life so far and plenty of space for all the songs I have, plus a ton more room. If you are looking for something that isn't expensive and works well, this is it. The only downside that I've found is that there isn't a lock feature that I have been able to locate. So if you carry it in your pocket, it can switch songs on you, but that's not a huge deal to me.

I like how it has a really long battery life. The clip that makes it portable is great. It is small and light. It was a great price! I like that it plays the radio. It doesn't do well with bass notes though. I wish it had Bluetooth.

Small size decent screen size and brightness (inside) sounds good for around $40 makes the gym much better to workout in. Will need to wait and try it mowing the yard this summer. Volume if your recordings are good sound good but can be a bit low for volume if recording is not up to snuff. Battery life good for a couple of weeks at the gym without charging.

This is a good MP3/FM unit... for the price is it GREAT! The sound with the supplied earbuds is really extremely good. The ultra-small size is a real plus. I have bought several as gifts and everyone has liked the units. In addition to the nominal 8GB of internal memory, I have used 200GB micro SD cards and it has worked perfectly. The fact that there is also a built-in FM radio is a real bonus! The ONLY criticism that I have is that the unit limits the length of names of the files. This can make it harder to pick the music file that you want. I would prefer a fuller file listing, but not everyone will load 27, 299 files as I did! Overall, it is a terrific unit. I bought several initially at $50.00, but when offered at $36.99, I bought more! I highly recommend it!

    Good and Bad

Overall, I like this MP3 player…if I can keep it running correctly. The Good. This player is a great player. It is easy to use, has a lot of good functionality, a ton of memory, expandable memory, GREAT battery life, a radio, and is VERY cost effective. One of the things I really like is that this is an 8gb player…other brands are from $100-200 for the same memory/capacity range. The Bad. These players seem to be made very cheaply. I’ve had old Sansa players before and they worked perfect. I have had to replace this unit 3 times now. The first time was because the spring clip on the back broke off. I use this when at the gym and clip it to my shirt – making the clip an important feature for me. The second unit started locking up and I would have to hold the power button down for 30 or more seconds and most times it would come on. It finally locked up where the sound button wouldn't work and the unit just completely stopped. My current third unit has been working well thus far. Also, for the first 2 units I did the firmware update – and don’t think I will for this 3rd one. When these are on sale, they are a tremendous value. I have purchased the extended warranty (about $10) and when I have a failure, I just drop by Best Buy and exchange it out for a new one. Hopefully, my current player will work correctly and be with me for a while.

The sound is good. it's easy to operate and the price is right. No need to have an expensive MP3 player when this works fine. My tip would be to make folders for the different categories, such as music (different artists), audio books, etc. Battery life also has been good. This probably deserves a 5 start, but I have a problem giving anything 5 stars.

I needed a protable MP3 player that used a USB SanDisk SDHC memory disk which I could put into my laptop and download music files onto it, then load it into the SanDisk MP3. The other MP3 players had to be directly connected to the laptop but didn't support Windows 10. My Clip Sport MP3 player is easy to use, has good sound output, is small and handy to carry around in a shirt pocket. Good design.

I wanted an easy to use music player and did not want to spend so much as I would have on an iPod nor did i need that many features, just music. I am pretty simple and this MP3 player is perfect for me. It has a feature for audio books as well as radio which i thought were pretty cool. Im not to sure if its my location or not but the radio is full of static where i am at. Its very light and has a sturdy clips which is nice. Its very small but the screen is clear and i always throw mine in my bag and it doesn't get scratched. I didn't like the ear buds so i use my own which are much clearer. Bottom line is music is easy to add to it and for the price (About $50) it works great.

It's a good player with decent sound, but it has a few quirks. It does not include music on an sd card in the music folder. Instead you have to access the sd card folder. I'm also not pleased with the side mounted headphone jack, a top mounted port would be better. The menus and file structure are a little counter intuitive too, but not too hard to get used to. Battery life is AWESOME, Lasted me through almost three 12 hour shifts at work! Definately worth the money, but not best or flashiest mp3 player I've used.

I threw this at my daughter for in-car use as a good-grades reward for the end of the year. She loves this thing and carries it around everywhere. The headphones it comes with aren't that great, but I kind of expected that. It has a built in radio as well which she uses a lot. It lets you do a direct copy (through your computer) of the songs over and doesn't kill you with some proprietary app if you would prefer (thank goodness!). It does it's job and does it well. It has expandable storage too and the battery lasts a good while on it. The menus aren't complicated on it and it's fairly responsive for what it is. I bought this for an 11 year old who takes care of her stuff and it's served her well. Honestly I could see me using one of these if I had a need for an mp3 player outside of my phone. Good buy at a good price.

After the death of my ipod recently I started using my iPhone 6+ while mowing and do work around the house. After dropping it twice in under 30 minutes I jumped on the pc and started looking for a new MP3 player. Being a firm believer in you get what you pay for and naturally started looking at more expensive players. While scrolling through the selection this one caught my eye. I use San disk thumb drives but had no idea they made MP3 players. After reading several reviews from several different sites decided I'd give it a try. This definitely is one of those rare moments when what you got overshadows what you paid. Ease of drop and play, extra memory can be added, and just so simple to use straight out of the box. I did change the ear buds, just preference on what I like. Buy this player, you won't go wrong doing it!

This MP3 player is perfect when you purchase a 32 gig external SD card for it. This is my third one that I've owned. The first one was accidentally washed. The second one I temporary lost. I purchased a third one, and then found the second one. They have pretty decent sound. The only problem is they are small, but that's also great for working out since I'm afraid of breaking my iPhone when I'm working out. I also like the feature of dragging and dropping from my computer not like Apple products.

I purchased this for listening to both music and audio books while traveling and walking. I didn't even realize it came with an FM tuner until I started using it, so that's a bonus... assuming, of course, I can actually find anything worth listening to on the radio. So far, I've added lots of music files and several (long) audio books, and I haven't used half the memory space. When that eventually happens, I can just slip in a microSD card and have plenty more storage space. The sound quality is good, and the user interface is very intuitive. I can't comment on the durability, because I simply haven't had it long enough to know. The only reason for giving a 4-star rating, rather than a 5, is the headphones. They are, in a word, terrible. They come with three different sized ear insets, but not one of them actually stays in my ears. Doing nothing more strenuous than walking, I'm constantly readjusting them. Being the "sport" variety of the SanDisk Clip, I can't imagine how anyone could keep them in while jogging or any other physical activity. Further, if the cord moves too much, I'm greeted with static from what I assume to be a short in the very thin wires used for the headphones. This doesn't happen too frequently while walking, but again, it would be much worse with more strenuous activity. That said, I wasn't exactly expecting great headphones with this purchase, and when I travel, I use nice, noise-cancelling headphones. But since cheap headphones like these are a dime a dozen anyway, SanDisk and its customers would be better served to knock a couple bucks of the price and skip the headphones.

I just love my SanDisk - Clip Sport 8GB* MP3 Player. Take it with me on my airplane flights, its small, very compact and easy to clip on or remove. Wear it on clothes. Flights to the continental U.S., not a problem - long battery life. The 8GB can hold tons of songs. You can even delete the song that you once thought you liked
