I went a whole weekend listening to audiobooks at work and never had to charge it. Although switching between radio stations today seems to have killed it. But it's better than the old mp3 player I had before that would die after 5 hours. I would've liked more internal memory but there's always the sd slot.

I really like this player because the clip keeps it in place when running, bicycling, and working out in the health club. The 8GB holds lots of music, so there is always a good selection to listen to. This is the third player for our family. The other two are two years old and I have been very happy with them.

At less than half the price of a "nano", why would you buy Apple unless you've already dropped the cash on an iMac or "Air"Book??? I'm already a HUGE fan of ALL SanDisk "storage" products and this 8 GB Clip Sport "MP3" player is A REALLY GOOD miniature audio playback device for the money. It's feature-packed with great flexibility and its ability to accept up to a 32 GB Micro SDHC card literally gives you infinite storage capacity for ALL your compatible audio media files. I'm going to be using two 32 GB Micro SDHC cards AND when added to the 8 GB of "on-board" storage, I will be able to (easily) carry around 12,500 (more or less) songs. - About 200 songs per gigabyte - using mostly 192 Kbps .wma or .mp3 files from a Windows-based PC. The FM radio tuning capabilities are also a VERY pleasant surprise AND the Clip Sport gives you plenty more "pre-set" radio stations options than you'll probably ever need. - It's tuner also picks up and displays lots of other information now being broadcast by "HD" FM stations (like song titles, artist information, upcoming shows, etc., etc., etc.). - Tune to your local ESPN radio station to see what I mean. I also like (but don't love) the software driving the menu system and I appreciate ALL the clock and "time-keeping" features. Once you've rolled through the menus a couple of times you'll have it down "pat" ... They ARE really simple! The display is bright (and adjustable) and amazingly clear and colorful, but does seem to be just a bit too fragile for most "sporting" activities other than yoga, warm-up time(s) or jogging. SUGGESTIONS: 1.) Use (even if you have to purchase new) GOOD, clean, HIGH response range headphones (earbuds) ... THE SOUND QUALITY WILL BE WORTH IT! - Assuming you are using higher "quality" 192 or 256 Kbps media files, instead of space-saving 64 or 128 Kbps files. NO, you don't have to spend $200 - $300 for your headphones. - I currently have a pair of Sony MDR-W014 (Sports CD Walkman) headphones plugged in to my Clip Sport and they sound great(!) AND they are plenty loud enough to be dangerous to my hearing (CAUTION Suggested AND Emphasized). 2.) In case it wasn't already evident, I HIGHLY recommend using higher "quality" 192 ("AAD" or "ADD" CDs) or 256 Kbps ("DDD" CDs) media files. The range of responsiveness of the audio playback quality will be much more pleasing to your ears ("tin" or not). - Yes, this does limit the "static" storage capacity of your Clip Sport by about one third (vs. 128 (or 64) Kbps files), but you can easily carry dozens of (or 2 or 3, or so) Micro SDHC cards to cover your whole audio library. - SO, GO FOR AUDIO QUALITY(!), since storage capacity IS virtually "unlimited". COMPLAINT: As I said before, I really feel that the display screen is fairly fragile and won't take many "hard knocks" at all. It smears really easily with greasy finger prints and I have a feeling it will scratch VERY easily. - It's NOT "Gorilla Glass"(TM), that's for sure. ... I'm NOT going to be taking this player to the beach ever. I am looking for a clear screen protector for it, but I have the feeling I'm going to be "stenciling" and cutting it myself out of bulk material.

Very easy to use. The battery life is amazing. It was super easy to download my books. The one thing I will say is the claim in the instructions that you can only download Audible.com books through the Audible Manager is not true. As long as it is a Mp3, you can download it directly to the device.

good buy when on sale. it is a backup for me for when my present mp3 player fails and I have not tried it yet. I am using the discontinued sansa zip clip which I like a lot. Rated 4 stars, but have not really tried it yet (the old one would have been 4 stars)

This is a great little player. It is small/light and easily clipped to you. I use it while mowing the yard and other outdoor activities where I do not want to risk damaging my phone. The sound quality is great and the radio has 30 presets which it will automatically memorize for you. The expansion slot is cool. I used a 2 Gb card (all I had laying around) and the player recognized it immediately. The only bad thing about using the expansion slot is that it is treated as a separate drive and therefore when you play music you must choose whether you want to use the internal memory or the card. So playing/shuffling will only be from the drive you have selected, not alternating between both.

I bought this for my mom because she wanted an mp3 player but I really didn't know how much she'd use it. It's super simple to operate and there's no iTunes like program to deal with. She loves the belt clip! It has great sound! She uses it while working in the yard, at the gym, she even got a one if those things so she can listen through her car speakers! The only problem is she's filled it already, thankfully there a slot for a memory card so she now has more space!

I listen to mostly to audio books and this is a great device for that. The sound quality is excellent and the size is just right. I spend a lot of time out doors as long as the weather permits so SanDisk Clip goes right with me as I work in the garden or sit and relax with my dog and cat. Of course it works equally well in doors. I take it with me to Dr. appointments to listen while in the waiting room (never in exam room) or while waiting at the hospital. I listen to books from my local library or purchased from a book store, works equally well from these two sources. Love this little product! By the way the colors are great fun. I am 75 years old and find the product to be very user friendly.

This is my second SanDisk Clip Sport and I love it. I find it far easier to transfer music files/albums into the Clip Sport than I ever did with my iPod - just drag & drop. The sound quality is very good and the clip is super-handy when you are listening to music while exercising or doing any other activity. I would highly recommend this - and the price is right.

Recently bought this item from BBUY, had good experience. Sound quality is good, interface is friendly and has decent storage capacity. Radio reception is also solid. However, nothing is ground breaking in this device, which would lure some one to buy this model exclusively. The same options are available at much cheaper price for lesser known brands. The sound quality doesn't justify "Sandisk" and ultimately no significant difference with the cheaper alternatives. Also, a physical off button is missing, which sometimes drains the battery unknowingly. If you want to have decent sound quality and you are a "Sandisk" fan this is yours. Otherwise invest some money and buy an upgraded version.

Basic MP3 player. It has FM Radio only, no AM. User interface could be a little more intuitive, with a little less clicking going on to get through to artists, etc. Easy to load music onto, accepts a wide variety of formats. Very light weight.

Had to buy it to replace my wife's 5 year old iPod 16GB. Two great things about this product: 1) You download your songs directly on it without iTunes. 2) It's expandable way beyond iPod and it's expensive price. Must have

This is a great little music player. Lightweight, expandable memory, plenty of options on formats, pretty simple to navigate. I would prefer having an on/off switch and to have a genres selection when searching for music. It is a little slow uploading files to the device, but that's only a pain when setting it up. The only real downside to it is that it cut short some album, band, and song names during the upload. But this has not made it too difficult to navigate and find music I want to listen to. All told, I'm very happy with the device.

I got this MP3 to replace my phone when I'm out cycling. When it arrived it turned out to be exactly what I was looking for. The 8gb storage is more than enough, with a slot for up to 32 more gigs using an SD Card. I noticed it was particularly light and small, which is helpful in case it ever falls. The response is loud, with plenty of control over the volume.
