I have NEVER owned a memory stick that does this. My first memory stick was a Cruzer and I still have it. That was why I bought these. The heat is inexplicable and could signal future failure. I have a different one plugged in and it is still at room temperature after 10 minutes (74 degrees).

SanDisk, in an email, said not to use them & to return them to the store inside of 30 days. They explained that my computer could be damaged if I used the overheating drive. This happened with a second pack of 3.

When pushing the drive into a USB port, the little wheel turns, allowing the part of the drive that goes into the port to retract. Very annoying. I have to hold my finger down into the round hole to keep it from turning.

Every manufacturer tries to differentiate their design, but this has to rate among the silliest and least intuitive. I had to take a phone call from someone from my office, in the middle of her presentation, trying to figure out how to use it. She had managed to figure out that you rotate the dial, but if you don't rotate it far enough that it clicks, it will retract as you try to push it into the USB slot on the computer. There's just no good reason for this design. Won't buy again.

I'm even unable to reformat to remove the write protection. Pretty colors byt pretty useless
