This is my second SSD from SanDisk and it's the same one. I really love this device, the speed, the weight, the size, and the quality are amazing!

Speed is 5x than hard drive (500mb/s vs 100mb/s); size is generally only 1/6 volume of hard drive. It is great. Any one knows to how to encrypt it on Mac?

I have the 2 TB device which holds a lot of images. Sd cards hold 32 to 64 GB typically so this will hold about 30 of my cards, but I dont have 30 cards since each one is $120. It is a no-brainer to buy this to back up files. It reads and writes incredibly fast using USB 3.0. I am very happy also that I caught it on sale.

Me And My Royal Enfield motorcycle are traveling around recording YouTubes and I use the SanDisk Extreme 2TB SSD to store my videos until I can get them edited and up on YouTube. It has been a great product and being solid-state I don't have to worry about the punishment it takes being strapped to my Interceptor 650 all day. Getting ready to buy my third one. I love it!

I needed a sizable space to deal with my large SLR picture and movie files allowing me to keep free space on my computer hard drive. The speed the Sandusky device can transfer data is very beneficial to me cause I can’t spend a lot of extra time sitting and waiting to get the data off my SD card(s). This device also allows me to finish my photos in LightRoom without having to copy them to the computer too.. I really like that this device has a rugged build quality and seems like I can rely on it for high reliability. I also copied a huge amount of my important documents into a ‘documents’ folder too. Such a cool, small and fast device. It’s a bit costly, but after comparing the capability of other products I choose the SanDisk 2tb and really like it a lot.

Disk Utility app in mac, reformat to AFPS, and BOOM! One super quick and steady ssd external portable drive. I bought two of these to use for virtual instrument libraries and sample libraries, and their file structures which can be any where from a few megabytes to hundreds of GBs. For those interested in which libraries I've moved to these drives, I have my entire Native Instruments Komplete 12 Collector's Edition, Eastwest Composer Cloud, Falcon/UVI Libraries, and more. Since these drives won't be creating and deleting stuff over and over, they have the potential to last a very long time with good care and handling. It comes with usb-c to usb-c cable and an optional usb-c to usb-3.0. This is a great bonus for me when I have to travel or work away from my studio, and may need a different port to connect. I didn't do any official speed testing, but did take some stopwatch measurements to see, and the results were not too far off between the 3.0 and usb-c connection. For me they were plugged into a CalDigit Thunderbolt 3 dock, which is connected to my Macbook Pro 2014 (thunderbolt 2 backwards compatible! with official apple cable adapter). Anyhow, enough said on that. These drives are not cheap, but you get what you pay for, and that is saying a lot these days! I have nothing negative to say about these drives after using them for the past few weeks. So much faster than the 5400 and 7200 rpm drives I had been using via thunderbolt 2 and usb 2/3 in the past. I will follow up if there are any issues to share.

It's highly affordable, 2 TB--so it's future proof, semi-resilient, fast, and reliable. User Experience: 10/10 Feels good in the hands, small, holds a lot, can be easily identified with tags or labels. Plug-and-play Price: 10/10 Highly affordable for what it is. Extremely fast and the 2TB will hold me out until maybe 4 years down the line. I backed up my entire life of photos and videos on 2 of these things.

I bought this for travel when I wanted to carry large amounts of data but be able to read and write with fast speeds. This drive does not disappoint. Blazing fast! This thing is light and super small. It’s bigger than a thumb drive but still very portable! Highly recommended.

SanDisk Extreme 2TB Solid state hard drive is a small form factor, large capacity storage device that seems to be faster than more traditional spinning hard drives. The Type C USB connection makes it a great back up or external storage device. It does come with a USB C to USB B adaptor so can be used just as easily with devices that have only USB 3.0 or USB 2 connectivity.

I really like this hard drive! I bought my first Extreme 2TB about a 2 months ago and my second about a week ago. I recently had to pay over 2K for recovered data from a damaged 4TB passport external HD. NOT HAPPY about that at all! I am still very careful with these new solid state HD's, but I feel that my data is safer now. The ScanDisk Extreme 2TB hard drive is small, Lightweight, rugged, no moving parts and fast! I can't wait for a 4TB version!

SanDisk - Extreme 2TB E. The SanDisk Extreme Portable offers a very fast USB 3.1 Gen 2 over USB Type-C connection. The drive’s case sports a textured surface on the front and the back, making it easy to grip. There’s also a nice big space at the top to attach it to a backpack with a clip or even a keychain. SanDisk bundles the drive with a three-year warranty. With 2TB of storage, this drive is a great option as a portable back up drive or a media drive when you’re on the go, and its amazing speeds won’t leave you twiddling your thumbs while you wait for all that data to transfer over to other devices.

Lots of storage in a small compact device. Very fast transfers.... did 350 Gb under 30 mins. Unit may run warm during the transfer process, but this is normal. It comes with a USB to USB-C cable. If you are still running the older phones or tablets just buy the appropriate adapter.

I wish if there was more than 2 TB. This product is great and fast transfering data. Small can keep it in your pocket. So, you don't need to be worried about where yo keep it if you travel. Also, low weight. If there was 10TB I would buy it.
