I am tired of the spinning disc drives failing on me so I got this solid state device. A bit more costly but it should be more reliable over time. It is a lot quicker to move data around and very easy to use, The special cable is included and I use it as a backup for my computer. Solid state is the way to go.

Great little storage device. You can't beat the read/write speeds on this thing. Not your typical use for it but i purchased this item to use with my XBox One and install games on it. SIGNIFICANTLY improves load times. Very small design too. Takes up very little space and you can just throw it in your pocket when you are on the go.

I bought this to expand my Xbox One S memory. I put all new games on this drive to speed up loading. Works great.

SSD's are a great way to store photos in a fairly safe device. There are two types of people in this world...Those that have had a hard drive failure..... or Those that are going to have a hard drive failure. SSD drives have no moving parts, so in theory they should last you longer.

Nice portable drive that makes it easy to take with you. Lightweight and manageable, taking it in and out of my backpack. It's nice that it's dropproof and durable for the most part so I don't have to be as worried as I would with a SATA drive. Nice and fast solid state performance.

I was looking for an external ssd to back up my MacBook Pro 500gbs. This pretty much fit the bill perfectly. It's not my only storage backup but, it has no moving parts so I trust it just incase I need to reinstall my mac.

Not only does the SSD reduce susceptibility to failure by mechanical shock, it also makes large transfer faster due not have to wait for the seek time that hard drives have. So it was noticeably faster than a hard drive version for use as a backup of files.

This a great little SSD for my photos and video and as a traveling photographer this is easy to carry around in a back pack to upload and store all my photos and video. Ive bought more than one now..

I bought the SanDisk Extreme 500 that has a solid state 480 Gig Hard Drive. It is easy to install and use. It is lightning fast and holds a lot of data in a compact device. I actually bought another one with a smaller memory as I really loved it.

This is a fast an easy device to use. It is light weight compact and capable of storing a ton of information. I tis a little expense compared to a thumb drive. But I could not find anything out there without moving parts that allowed me this much storage.

I love this thing. It works really well is super fast and surprisingly sturdy. Only issue I've had with it is that it's small so I lose it for long stretches of time until I find it wherever my dog or cat have hidden it.

This little guy will transfer at the speed of lig... well two to three times the speed of USB 3.0 HDD's. It is worth every penny and significantly more durable and stable!

Adequate data capacity, fast & excellent for video work

I got tired of losing thumbdrives, so i looked into this external ssd. Im glad i bought it. Its tough external and gb size was just what i needed for work files, pictures, and music. Great product !!!

I bought this SSD on sale at Best Buy for my wife. She didn't use it quick enough, so I decided to use it for myself. So far, so good. It is small and very fast. I highly recommend it.

Small but lots of storage, fast, lighter than a spin drive

The SanDisk had improved so much my Imac performance, as it can transfer data so rapidly, besides being so small. I would surely recommend it to everybody!

It is very light, portable, and fast. I am using it to replace my portable external hard drive because it isn't solid state, which can cause some problems.

I use this with my MacBook retina. USB 3.0 is fast and the device is super portable
