It totally rocked while it was working but died suddenly and unexpectedly after I transferred my data over from the hard drive.

Item end up being a fake or DOA. Had to exchange for a 512gb because I didn't have time to wait for another 1tb. Dont rule out the item being real because you bought from a reliable source. I was upset with the item but happy I got a quick turn around at any best buy store I went to.
